Although it was a 6-month-old order, Fradella decided it wasn't worth the pain it had caused her customer

Ordering a $600 birthday cake is understandable if it is a huge party, but cheating on the girlfriend who paid for said cake is unacceptable. Baker and business coach, Julie Fradella (@thesweethustle_), shared a video on Instagram that went viral after a client offered to pay her an extra $100 to smash her cheating boyfriend's cake. Instead, she offered to record something better for the client to send to Jonathan, reported WSBTV Atlanta. The video was shared on May 6, 2026, and it reached 799,000 views, 112,000 likes, and 3,260 comments.
Fradella began by sharing that the client found out her boyfriend had cheated on her the same day she was about to pick up the cake. Unwilling to celebrate a cheater's birthday, she told Fradella to just smash the cake and even offered extra cash for her to record a video. Since Fradella was a girl's girl, she did something better. She recorded a video, sweetly wishing Jonathan a happy birthday, "Had so much fun making this cake for your party tonight. It’s just one thing. Cheaters, Jonathan, we don’t like cheaters."
She pans the camera to a flaming almond-flavored cake that was meant to feed 75 people. The icing on the cake was bubbling, and the lettering 'Jonathan' and 'BOSSHOG' slowly melted into the charred mess. She ended the clip with a moral: "Stop playing with people, okay?"

After the video went viral, Today reached out to Fradella for more details. She revealed that the couple had ordered the cake in December last year. The design was black with bits of gold, chosen by Jonathan to match the 'sneaker ball' theme he had planned. At the time, his girlfriend paid for the cake. However, in a previous post, Fradella shared that her client already paid for the cake, but when she offered the extra cash, she told her to keep the $100. She wrote, "So we agreed she didn’t have to pay me anything. Just agreed that I can use [it] as content."
People cheat for a variety of their own selfish reasons, but a Spokeo survey cited by KRON 4 News revealed the ugly truths about why people cheat on their significant others. Out of the 1,158 people who were surveyed, 44.3% have cheated on their partner. 22.1% of the cheaters said it was because they liked the attention, and 20.4% cheated because they suspected their partner of cheating. The results also revealed that 44.3% confessed to cheating on their current or ex-partner.
Navigating a relationship after discovering a cheating partner can be difficult, but 54.5% believe that couples can work through such issues. Fradella shared that her client never got back to her after the cake-burning video. The client did not share how she found out about the cheating or what she did next, but Fradella hoped she was satisfied.

People thoroughly enjoyed the show that Julia Fradella gave them, and thought the cheating birthday boy deserved it. @deeplymadlymodern wrote, "So sad you didn’t have access to pyrotechnics." @shellyannskitchen1 commented, "The cake was lit, and it was literally lit! Love this!"
