The mom rendered the perfect comeback and let her daughter's achievement become her defense.

Every parent wants the best for their children. When it comes to their health and growth, they will go above and beyond to provide the best. SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) is one such benefit many low-income parents are taking advantage of to help support their family’s nutritional needs. However, a few people are still stuck in stereotypical and judgmental thinking. A mom named Jeah (@ewoklabubu) indirectly called out parents by noting that her "biggest flex" was not using SNAP. She created quite the controversy with her post on X on November 8. That's when a fellow mom, @ItsMrsPluggs, responded with an epic comeback that gave her a straight win.

SNAP has been designed to help low-income families receive sufficient nutrition to keep their health intact, per the USDA Economic Research Service. It has helped over 41.7 million people per month last year. A statistical report revealed that the SNAP program has provided over 70% of nutrition assistance compared to other programs in a year. The best part is that this arrangement has no age restrictions, aiming to help a broad spectrum of those in need. Unfortunately, this is still looked down on and criticized by many. The mom shamed people using SNAP, saying, “My biggest flex as a mother is not relying on SNAP & EBT to feed my child.”

She received much criticism from parents for her statement, as the assistance has provided life-saving help to many. @TriniBev commented, “If only your flex was raising kids to learn empathy.” @Kels757 added, “So I guess your child isn’t being taught manners, being loved on, learning communication skills, etc, so many things are more important than the kid not being fed by food stamps.” However, the perfect comeback came from a mom, @ItsItsMrsPlugg, who chose not to use harsh words but just to let the truth speak for itself. She took the concept of "actions that speak louder than words" quite literally and shared how SNAP impacted her child in the best way possible.

She wrote, “My biggest flex as a mother is having a daughter who’s nominated as the International Baccalaureate Student of the Year, softball champion, 1st violinist, NHS, and highest MD testing scores. And that’s just one of my kids, I have 4 more following her footsteps." She then confidently revealed, “They all had SNAP.” This mom was not ashamed or embarrassed; on the contrary, she was proud to be able to find the best for her child, which in turn helped the girl be her best. In a comment, she added, “And I would do anything in the world to get them SNAP benefits back, you b**ches are crazy!”

Many X users came to the mom’s support with impressive comments. @mxed_aesthetics said, “Look at what happens when the babies have nutritious meals at home.” @JaeCrypto010 added, “If you were receiving SNAP, you had less time to worry about food than middle-class parents did. Therefore, you had a lot of days with a clear mind for those kids to succeed.” The post was also shared on Reddit, and parents there, too, couldn’t help but confirm how relieving it was to have the support of the program. u/Sudden_Strawberry881 said, “The real flex is raising greatness, not bragging about never needing help.” u/Myragem added, “The child is likely going to repay what they received in SNAP manyfold over the rest of their life. Raising the bar helps all of us."
Didn’t keep you from being lame, though
