She documented her French bulldog Indy's final day which was filled with hugs, kisses and loads of treats.
Pets play a significant role in our lives, providing companionship, unconditional love and numerous benefits to our overall well-being. Spending the last day with your furry companion and bidding them farewell is one of the most heart-wrenching times for any pet owner. One pet owner decided to turn their French bulldog, Indy's final day into the best day of her life.
Holly Sheddan, a social media manager by profession from New Zealand, decided to shower Indy with everything she loves and documented the day. She documented the entire day on TikTok which procured more than 13 million views and left everyone with a bittersweet feeling. "Rest in treats little darling," she captioned the video with a "Stuff We Did" (From "Up") playing in the background.
The clip from Indy’s perspective in a red vest shows Indy going for a car ride. She is seen watching Disney movies with her brother. Indy enjoys lovely treats like soft serves and cheeseburgers, which she hopes are "served in heaven." She also goes to her favorite place: the beach. There, she meets her loved ones and enjoys the sun. Indy receives loads of hugs and kisses from her mom, and when she couldn't walk anymore, she is carried towards the car while receiving whispers of loving words. The text overlay reads, "Best last day on Earth. All of my family members were crying as I went to sleep but I am excited for my next adventure."

While posting some heartwarming pictures of Indy on her Instagram, Sheddan wrote in the caption, "Rest in treats little lady. You’ll always be snuggled up inside my heart." When asked why they had to put her down, Sheddan further shared an update, "We decided to put her to sleep as she was in a lot of pain and was starting to suffer due to a brain tumor. Unfortunately, our vet said there was nothing more we could do to restore her quality of life. It was the kindest thing we could do for her."
Many viewers were sorry for her loss and even shared their relatable experiences. "I lost my baby (who was 13) last year and I still miss her so much. I have a new best friend who’s now 5 months old. He’s brought a lot of joy and healing into my life but he has mighty big shoes to fill," shared @mgvanceypants.
