Woman interviews director Baz Luhrmann in spontaneous street encounter but she has no idea who he is

A TikToker, @god_worthy, who commonly conducts street interviews, has become the talk of the town for her recent interaction with a renowned celebrity. The woman was out on the streets asking people about their opinion on dating and marriage when she stumbled upon Australian director Baz Luhrmann. She asked him a few questions but that's not why she has gone viral. It is because she failed to recognize him until later. People were stunned by the fact that she had no idea who the award-winning director was.

The interview began with Luhrmann flexing his camera and directing skills. After exchanging greetings, Luhrmann seemed to assume the interviewer recognized him and suggested she change the angle of her camera for a better view. “I think you need to turn your camera…I think this is it, can you do that?” he asked the camera person. “That’s better, I get the light and the angles,” the woman said. Being completely unaware of the “Moulin Rouge” director's identity, she asked him, "So, are you single?" Lurhman revealed that he was married, in a slightly confused tone as it dawned on him that she didn't know who he was.

The woman then asked him about his views on marriage. “During that journey of marriage, the person I’m married to and I found our own genuine and authentic concept of what our contract to each other should be,” he explained. Sharing another perspective, Luhrmann added, “Marriage is not just how much you mean to the other person. It’s how you advertise to the world that you love and care for them.” Luhrmann has been married to Academy Award-winning costume designer Catherine Martin for 27 years.

The director and the interviewer continued to speak about acceptance and being open-minded regarding marriage and relationships. The woman even got a little nervous and hasty with the interview while Luhrmann responded, making things more fun to watch. However, the duo managed to agree on the fact that respect in a relationship is as important as love and communication.

Even after the interview ended, the woman greeted Luhrmann but didn't ask him who he was. After the interaction, the woman finally found out about the special person she had just met as at the end of the clip, she shared a photograph of him with a loud cheer. “I had no idea that was Baz Luhrmann,” she wrote in her caption.
