Many people have brands that they know, love and trust when it comes to electronics. They also prefer buying from them whenever they need an upgrade. But sometimes they might be severely disappointed with what they get. Or sometimes they might feel confused. A woman, Lyss, who goes by @itsmelyssk on TikTok found herself in a confusing situation when she bought Beats wireless headphones and used them to listen to music from both Apple Music and Spotify. The sound quality was so different on both platforms that the woman was speechless.

"I almost just blew my eardrums out," Lyss began. "So I got these last night, the Beats Studio Pros and I was lowkey disappointed, I am not even going to lie." She added, "So, I started playing music from my Apple Music and I thought am I losing my hearing? Because the volume was all the way up." She explained how she tried to use the headphones with the spatial audio on and off and tried to do it with noise cancellation on and off. She tried to turn the transparency mode on and off as well but the volume was still low. "I am like, wow, I’m about to return these things," the woman thought before she tried to do something else to figure out what was wrong.

"I was like, absolutely no way that I just get these and they suck," she expressed. "I was so surprised because I loved my Solo 2s, the original solos," she added that they always had amazing quality. "I said let me just go to Spotify." Lyss admitted, "I almost literally just blew my eardrums." She questioned, "What the hell is the difference between Apple Music and Spotify? Why is the sound quality terrible on Apple Music playing through Apple Headphones?" The woman continued, "So I guess apparently, I am never using Apple again, like canceling my Apple Music subscription." Lyss questioned, "Can someone explain this to me."

She concluded, "This was my reason to never use Apple Music again, I can’t even believe the sound quality difference… woah." The woman captioned the video, "Excuse me, can someone explain?" The video received over 190.5k views and more than 4.1k likes. People took to the comments section to explain why they found the music quality better with Apple Music and what Lyss can do to fix the problem.

@yeehaw.pawtner commented, "Technically Apple Music should sound better, they support higher audio quality and Spotify doesn’t compare. If you go to your settings and search music and under cellular streaming you should be. Change the quality, lossless is probably the best option in terms of quality. In the music settings, you can also change the EQ sound if that’s something you’re into." @ganrkillz wrote, "Apple Lossless audio is pretty good on my 700 dollar set up on my pc. Beats is a really bad way to compare sound quality lol. Gonna need a good pair of HiFi cans and amp/DAC for that."

@rondneyvillalon1 remarked, "I understand that Apple Music is considered "quality audio," but when I'm on my third mile of running, I need that ear-damaging music to reach into my soul for motivation!" @sethabrwon shared, "Spotify is lossy BUT they play at higher volume to make up for it. Also, make sure you use the highest quality settings on whatever service."
