After sending the text, Hannah threw her phone aside in coyness, nervous to know his response.

Love can come your way anytime, and sometimes when you least expect it. Most of us are afraid of making the first move, but for 27-year-old Hannah, she just followed her heart, and it worked! The young woman, after a whirlwind romance of two years, said "yes" to the Gurbhub driver, Alec Hoffman, in April 2024, who once was at her doorstep to deliver chicken wings and fried pickles!

Hannah Bullerman, an X-ray tech at a local hospital, was suffering from migraine one fine day, so she decided to take the day off from work and order some fried pickles, chicken wings, and apple sauce for lunch. When the order arrived, she decided to sneak out in her pajamas to her apartment lobby and snatch the food as he went back to the car. To her surprise, Alec began calling her number. Hannah, who wants to look her best self, went down to get the food when she saw the man's face, which she describes as, "Oh my gosh, he’s cute!" She thanked him and quickly raced back to her room, but could not stop thinking about that handsome man she had just made eye contact with. She quickly debated whether to text him, but also felt it could come across as creepy. But as curious as Hannah was, she was interested to see where it might lead her. So, she sent him a cheeky text saying, "I hope you have a day as nice as your face." She threw her phone aside in coyness, as she was nervous to know his response. When Alec received the text, he was surprised to see Hananh hitting on him. He then replied, saying, "Hope my service was 10 out of 10."

Calling her move 'nice and bold', Alex commended Hannah for making the first move. The couple then hit it off on their first date, at a sports bar where they played wet bowling, competing against each other in all good fun. Interestingly, both Bullerman and Hoffman are health care workers, with Hoffman working as a home care aide for veterans. Soon after their story was shared on the Drew Barrymore Show, where the couple scored a honeymoon in Fiji. To their luck, Grubhurb also contributed $5000 to their wedding, which took place on May 17, 2025. A survey conducted by the Deccan Chronicle found that women who initiated contact were more likely to end up in long-term relationships, as compared to those who waited to be approached. The results highlighted that initiative can increase match quality and relationship longevity.
