Parenting is a highly dynamic role as parents change and grow along with their children. Mothers particularly, undergo quite a bit of changes for the first three years after their child is born. A mom named Shawna—who goes by @herlatestlove on TikTok—shared a fun and insightful video where she highlighted how a mother's fashion sense evolves after her child is born. The video has 754.3K views, 38.8K likes, and 601 comments on the social media platform. She adorns different outfits and dances to them in the short clip.

The video starts with Shwana showcasing a mother's dressing style in "the early years." According to her, mothers leaned towards wearing clothing with a heavy emphasis on comfort as they were healing from childbirth. We see her wearing an oversized t-shirt and pants in a beige color. This would go on for a while till their child became 6 months old, which is when mothers would indulge in a bit more fashion. Even then, they would mostly just be looking for something clean.

The text overlay hilariously reads. "Whatever's not covered in spit-up (or poop)." Following this, most mothers would finally opt to start wearing pants again but would be completely out of touch with the latest fashion. We see Shawna wearing jeans and a black top with a shirt over it. Eventually, moms would go and buy new pants after two years. They would be very excited about the pants and would hilariously wear them every chance that they got. Shawan switches through multiple outfits with the same pair of pants to make her point.

Finally, Shawna adorns a nice outfit for 3 years, with a text overlay reading, "I'm accepting my new body and starting to find myself+style again." Other moms on the platform found the video to be very relatable and shared their thoughts in the comments section. @laura_g0701 shared, "I had just gotten to the 3 years stage just to go right back to the newborn style." @happily.ever.ashleigh expressed, "About to have a 2-year-old, excited to find my style this year, lol."

With such an evolving sense of fashion, it's no wonder that moms seem to know how to dress their children nicely. One mom in London has found a technique to wear a tie perfectly. Casey Major Bunce—who goes by @majormumhacks on TikTok—provided a short six-second demonstration of her tie-tying method. She explains in the video, "This is super easy to do and it gives you a clean knot at the top."

Bunce put the tie around her arms three times to form a neat knot. Many children would find this technique extremely helpful during their morning rush to school. All children would have to do after that is place the tie on the child's arm, wrap it around three times and then pull the second loop through the top to complete the knot. Bunce also adds how there is a method using two loops for a smaller knot, but she prefers the three-loop approach for a better appearance.
