Woman gushes over boyfriend walking her friend home at midnight, sparking fierce debate

Sometimes women do feel a bit troubled about walking the streets at night. They often ask their friends to accompany them home. This may sound like a pretty natural scenario. However, when a woman's boyfriend walked her friend home at night, it sparked controversy. The video was posted by Sal and Steve—who goes by @salandestevao on TikTok—and has gone viral after Sal shared the gesture online. "POV [point of view]: Your Doberman boyfriend walks your friend home because it's 2 a.m.," the caption of the video read.

The 11-second video shows the two walking down the street from behind. While the gesture is heartwarming for the woman who was shooting the video, many in the comment section were quick to express their thoughts and it's safe to say that their views are pretty polarising. "And leave his gf alone for a friend! How cute," writes @Victoria. Another woman, @Andrea erupted, "This comment section is wonders, I had a guy friend and he walked me home as well in the middle of the night, sometimes with his gf sometimes without, we were all good friends and she was my bestie1/3."

Many others didn't see anything wrong with the gesture: "My good friend's husband drives me home whenever it’s late (she has a daughter at home and hates driving late). It’s the most innocent thing, and I feel respected by them both," writes @MillaWashington. "These comments make me sad. Is it younger people who are all so worried? I would insist my husband walk my friends home if it’s late; he would offer, too," adds @RooannB. 

@AISA, added, "This is such a green flag for both of you. He walked your friend home because of his love for you and your trust in him." With busy lives and even busier schedules, it's getting difficult for people to look out for their loved ones, and it's good to see people caring about their loved ones. In another similar story, a woman, @micmicaa shared a video on TikTok talking about her boyfriend's wholesome gesture. The woman shared that she and her boyfriend were not being able to spend time with one another which is when her boyfriend did something that touched her.

Jamie decided to wake up early on his day off and make time for Mica before work."He wakes up at 3:30 am on his only days off just to walk with me for 20 minutes from the station to work because he didn’t want me to walk alone,” Mica shared. The woman added that there were multiple reasons why Jamie chose to wake up early, per Newsweek. "Jamie started walking me to and from the station ever since we started dating and moved in together. We work at the same shop, and he does this for several reasons. He wants to make sure I am safe and not walking alone. Since we're saving for a car, he also wants me to save money from booking an Uber because I'm a student with tuition to pay," Mica added.
