Sometimes you just have to roll with things when it comes to being kind!

A woman named Caitlin listed Emily as a job reference, but the catch was the two did not know each other at all. Emily, who goes by @spamhahee on TikTok, immediately understood the mistake. However, instead of correcting the situation, she used it to add to the good karma in her life. She went ahead and gave glowing recommendations for Caitlin. However, judging by some of the things Emily humorously claims Caitlin has done, a recruiter might figure out the ruse fairly quickly if they heard it.

Emily shared how she was constantly getting calls in the morning from job recruiters enquiring about someone named Caitlin. She eventually figured out that Caitlin had put her number as a reference in her job resume, and had mentioned her name as Katie. Considering the fact that the TikToke user was getting so many calls, she assumed that Caitlin must truly be in need of a job as she was applying to so many places. This was not an out-of-ordinary thing, as the United States at present is going through an employment crisis. As per Trading Economics, the number of unemployed people in America stands at a staggering 5 million.

Emily did not want to ruin Caitlin's chance of gaining employment by pointing out her gaffe. Therefore, Emily decided to play along with the shenanigan and began giving glorious albeit a bit outrageous reviews for Caitlin as Katie. The video has since garnered almost 12 million views.

Emily started off with typical compliments like, "You show up on time, you are the hardest worker I’ve ever met." Then, she turned it up a notch by saying, "You saved my son when he almost drowned, you gave him CPR." She wanted to showcase Caitlin as a person who is proficient and dependable both on the personal and professional front. The TikToker did everything to help a fellow human in her job pursuit.

By the end of it, she was so happy with her compliments that she confidently expressed that Caitlin is going to land all the jobs that she interviewed for. She was so confident that she ended her video by saying, “If you don’t get any of the jobs that I have been receiving calls about this morning, then I will eat my shorts.”

The comment section also got in the gag and began giving glowing reviews to Caitlin. @strawberriesareascam in his review wrote how Caitlin saved him with her physical prowess, "Caitlin literally built me a house in the middle of winter." @beachbound36 brought attention to Caitlin's kind heart, "Caitlin delivered our puppies when the vet wouldn't answer our calls." @theredalice commented about Caitlin's perfect performance at her job, "Caitlin also trained me at my job. Super helpful, clear instructions, great taker of feedback and criticism. Won't find someone like her anywhere else." @caitlinnlee_ was so overwhelmed by the appreciation her namesake was getting that she decided to thank everyone, "On behalf of all Caitlin’s everywhere, thank you for your service."

Emily updated in a follow-up video that someone she believes to be the real Caitlin sent her an email thanking her for the glowing recommendations.
