There are times when delivery drivers end up delivering your parcels at the wrong address. What you can expect afterward is some mandatory apology from them as you try to get your goods safely delivered to your house once again. But @hannahhollyla on TikTok recently shared a rather unique incident where a DoorDash order was delivered to the wrong address and the conversation that followed was unexpectedly amusing.

Hannah shared a series of screenshots that recapped the conversations between—going by her post caption which said "My mom was so confused"—her mom and a DoorDash driver named Priti. The whole fiasco started when the customer was informed on the food delivery app that her food had been delivered to her address. But in reality, she had not received the food she had ordered. She immediately contacted the DoorDash driver and the response she got from the other side was rather bizarre.

“Check the door in front of you. It’s there I promise," Priti replied. The photo of the delivery did not match the customer's house so the DoorDash driver admitted their mistake and casually asked her to go grab the food for herself. The customer was thoroughly confused when the driver couldn't even remember which house they wrongly delivered the food to and instead blamed a GPS error for leading them to the wrong address.

The customer was understandably upset since she had paid for the food and didn't receive it. “Well, now I’ve spent a ton of money and have no dinner,” she wrote back on the app. The driver had another round of strange responses ready for her. "I really don’t know why this happened to you. I wish I could help," the driver wrote back. “I understand you didn’t steal it but you delivered it to the wrong place. I get deliveries almost every day so I know the address is correct,” the customer responded.

“Life isn’t 100%. Some days aren’t for you. It’s part of life. Again I’m sorry,” Priti left a final reply and that's where the unusual encounter with the DoorDash driver over texts ended. TikTok users were left equally confused and amused as Hannah at the driver's audacity to gaslight the customer when they were responsible for delivering the food to the wrong address. @user6942069694206669 commented: "I really don’t know why this happened to you and they wrote as they delivered it to the wrong address has me crying."

@carscott4 wrote: "I wish I could help, I don’t know why this happened to you- as he’s laughing and probably eating your fries is crazy." @angie.eighteenhundred joked: "No cause I’m legit gonna do this if I miss a deadline at work. 'Life isn’t 100%. It’s part of life sorry.'" @hanwiththebandz shared: "I literally had one yell at me claiming that my apartment didn’t exist and then said I had the wrong number in even when I didn’t."

@lilym892 remarked: "Had this exact conversation with a shipping company the other day. I told them the pic wasn’t my house and they pretty much said 'well go look for it.'" @leavemealone227711 added: "Had a guy steal my food and tell me he wasn’t bringing it to me (after he already picked it up) because I didn’t tip him enough. I tipped 40%." But in the end, Hannah was able to find some humor in the unusual incident and left a comment underneath her slideshow post writing how "she can't be mad because it was so funny."
