Owners of small businesses adore their customers. They know how much it takes to build a strong customer base to grow the business and make steady profits. So did this 11-year-old. That's why when her business completed one year, she made sure to send her loyal customer some gifts in return for supporting her.
In a post shared on Reddit, u/Avengelina254 shared, "I've been supporting my young neighbor's business (roughly 11yr old female). Today she brought me gifts for the one-year anniversary of being her customer." They also posted a photograph of a bottle of wine alongside a bag of chocolates, flowers and a card with the name of the young entrepreneur's business: "Nadia's Trash Pick Up."
The Reddit user went on to explain how she began her professional relationship with the child: "A year ago, one of my neighbors on our culdesacs, little girl, came and asked me if she can take my trash can down and back up from the curb for trash days. Technically it's not far and every other week I don't even bother because it's not full, but I said sure."
She continued, "Sadly, I was the only one who said yes on the culdesac. I’ve been handing her a 20 every month and love seeing how happy she gets. Well, today, she showed up with gifts for me. It’s the one-year anniversary of her business. I’m so proud of her. I am screaming GIRL POWER. This girl is going to be a boss one day!!!"
The post has gained about 356 upvotes on Reddit. People on the social media platform were appreciative of the girl and her business. u/Bright_Broccoli844 commented, "Go Neighbor Girl! The can sit in the driveway until I do." u/Nunchuncherry pointed out, "Now that's a productive businesswoman!" u/PurpleMonkey71 expressed, "How wonderful. And generous of you too!"
In a similar story of unlikely neighborhood relationships, Audrey Perry found an adorable friend in her neighbor's young son, Nour. The two have been winning hearts on social media with by exchanging food and rating each other's dishes. In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Perry asks the kid to introduce himself. "Hi, my name is Nour, I'm Audrey's neighbor," the charismatic and well-spoken young boy says. Perry then chimes in: "We have been trading food back and forth."
Nour continues, "Yeah, they have been giving me delicious desserts and I've been giving them dinner." The kid then introduces the dish his mother sent for Audrey that day. "This is called freeka (in Arabic), basically, it is a type of soup. It is a thicker soup, you are supposed to put bread with it. There are some veggies in there, carrots, zucchini and that's salad over there," he explains. He also describes the salad he brought. "If you are wondering what the meat over there is, it's sheep liver and heart. Audrey's gonna try this, I have already eaten. After you try everything, I want you to rate it," says Nour.
Audrey gives the salad an 8 out of 10. "The liver is a little dense. I've had it before, it's a personal thing, but it's seasoned so well that it's good to have," she explains. She then rates the freeka a 9.5 out of 10, saying: "That's really good. It's a little spicy I like it."
The video went viral gaining over 10 million views and 1.9 million likes. It is captioned, "Me and Norm and our neighborly food exchanges." People on the internet loved the food exchange between neighbors. @alexgirl commented, "He’s so cute, he’s like, oh girl, she translated for you." @thechelseykshow wrote, "I love how he knows all the details of the food is made! He pays attention to detail."
