Fiancé vanished for 25 minutes during his bachelor's trip — 4 months later, a woman sent her a timestamped photo confirming what her gut told her

'If you have a gut feeling, 9 times out of 10, you're not wrong'

Kelbi Thomas' (@kelbithomas) advice to all the women is to "always trust your intuition or your gut feeling." On May 9, Thomas shared that her husband had gone on a bachelor trip with his friends to Clearwater, Florida, last year in March. When she saw his location was across the hotel where he was staying, she texted him to check. No reply. She FaceTimed him a couple of times, but there was still no response. He was 'MIA' for 25 minutes before he called her back, running and breathless. She suspected he was up to something, but ignored it. Four months later, the truth came out in the form of a timestamped photo. The video received 779,100 views, 100,100 likes, and 871 comments.

@kelbithomas mind you there was NO lapse of communication the whole trip except those 25 minutes…. this quite literally changed my life & altered my perception of love :) it’s been 10 months & i still can’t believe this happened to me #cheating #marriage ♬ original sound - アジアンマッサージ リラクゼーション ヴィラ 千歳店 - ガラスコーティング 洗車用品 カーフィルム コンパウンド

25 minutes was enough for a cheater

When he called her back, he told Thomas that he had been wrestling with a friend's cousin to explain why he was out of breath. To answer her question, he showed her how the hotel wraps around, which was why it looked like he was across the street. He got a little upset with her for assuming and not trusting him. They ended the call on a sour note and did not text each other for an hour. Thomas was annoyed because she believed she was entitled as his wife to ask him questions. Later on, he texted her apologizing and said she was right.

Caught with a timestamp

When the husband came back home, they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. However, four months later, a random woman messaged Thomas. She told her that she met her husband in Clearwater, during his bachelor trip, and they ended up sleeping together. She even sent a photo of Thomas' husband in her room with a timestamp as proof. When she compared the timestamp to the 25 minutes he was MIA, it aligned.

He had been with the woman during the 25 minutes he disappeared, went outside to check on his noisy friends (called her), and went back to the woman (zero communication with Thomas for an hour). She concluded the video saying, "That's just a sign. If you have a gut feeling, 9 times out of 10, you're not wrong."

Listening to your gut feeling

Not everyone believes in gut feelings or intuition. A 2026 Talker Research survey of 2,000 American adults found that 11% don't believe in it, while 71% rely on their intuition sometimes. The survey further revealed that 33% knew when something was 'off' without any explanation, 28% sensed when a person was dishonest, and 26% knew when to walk away from something. Another survey found that 17% relied on their gut feeling to know when something is wrong, and 20% depended on their intuition when it comes to trusting their significant other. Had Thomas trusted her gut months ago, she would've found out about her husband's infidelity a long time ago.

Him asking why she did not trust him was a red flag

Several women in the comment section wished Thomas healing. A few others shared similar experiences. @lynonthemove1 commented, "My husband literally told me in his sleep. I went through his phone to confirm and was horrified. He was my college sweetheart. I’ll never believe in love again." @kmjcxo wrote, "I’ll never, ever, forget the feeling. I hadn’t felt it before, nor since: I felt literal ice flow through my veins. In my head, a literal puzzle of miscellaneous pieces came together, and it was clear as day. Everything came together to where there was no doubt. None."
