Woman spotted a dinner reservation for 2 on boyfriend’s Resy while he was in France — her 'heart sank' when she opened her hidden DM

Most people have logged into their partner's account without any malicious intent, hoping to catch up on a series or find something else. They generally don't expect to discover anything surprising. But for a woman named Livi (@sheislivi), a routine peek inside her boyfriend's account when he was supposedly in France turned into a nightmare. While using her boyfriend's Resy profile to book an Amex-exclusive reservation for her sister, she stumbled upon a reservation for two in New York. Her suspicions grew stronger after she checked her phone, which had a DM from a woman. Later, she took to TikTok on November 12, 2022 to narrate the whole story, garnering 849,400 likes. 

The long-distance illusion

Livi entered the summer completely devoted to her partner. "It genuinely was like, we're gonna get married," she recalled. It was during this time that she stayed back in New York, while her boyfriend traveled to spend his summer abroad in the South of France. This left her juggling a long-distance relationship. Nonetheless, she managed things pretty well until one day she needed to log in to her partner's Resy account to book a restaurant for her sister. 

A massive discovery

So, she innocently logged into her boyfriend's account expecting nothing surprising. In fact, she raved about the perks of holding a good card. "Amex holders get the best reservations, and I needed a Carbone reservation for my sister," she revealed. Although she just wanted to perform this simple task, she was halted midway through the reservation after spotting something shocking. After logging in, Livi stumbled across a booking for two people set in New York during a window when her boyfriend should be in Europe. 

The hidden message request

Still, she didn't make much of it, as she continued to laugh about it with her sister as she booked her reservation. But shortly after that, she noticed a hidden message request on her social media. Upon opening it, she saw a stranger's text asking, "Are you dating (this person)?" Acting quickly, she confirmed she was seeing him; the stranger stunned her with their response. "Great, same, my heart," they said. After reading this, her world came apart.

A late-night confirmation

Reeling from the blow, what she experienced felt like "literally got shot, like beaten at the same time." The other woman suggested they meet in person. She agreed to meet the woman in person, where the two discovered that Livi's boyfriend had been seeing them both at the same time. However, that wasn't all, as he even fed both of them contradictory stories. Rather than allowing her space to process this betrayal, the interaction took an awkward turn. "Girlboss, we don't need him," the other woman said. She persistently pressed her to grab coffee and take yoga classes together, leaving Livi in a dilemma.

Meanwhile, people thought there was nothing wrong with being friends with the other woman Livi's boyfriend was seeing. @toopadoopa suggested, "I don’t see anything wrong in her asking u to go out w her. She’s empathising and feels you should get well together. :/" At the same time, @soph_elli commented, "The girl I got cheated on with came up to me in public, asked me the same thing, and her response was “me too” lmao."
