Anonymous email warned her about wife’s affair with their bridesmaid. She found no proof — until her wife’s four-word response raised every alarm

Natalie Sanchez (@hi.nataliesanchez) and her ex-wife, "Emma," had been together for eight years. And like every couple, they too went through a challenging time in their relationship. During this time, Sanchez said Emma used to go to "Amanda's" (one of their bridesmaids and best friends) house for some "space." However, on April 30, 2024, their marriage ended when Sanchez's sister, Angela, received an anonymous email claiming that Emma had been cheating on her with Amanda. Sanchez had no evidence of their affair, but when she confronted her ex-wife, she was shocked by her response. The first part of the video, which was shared on July 31, 2026 has received over 290,000 views on her TikTok page.

The anonymous tip

Sanchez has posted a 9-part video series of her divorce on her page. In the first part, she talked about how her wife had been spending a lot of time at Amanda's house. Initially, Sanchez didn't suspect anything unusual because she, too, was close to Amanda and trusted Emma blindly. However, that changed when her sister received an anonymous email. Shocked, Sanchez sent a reply email, requesting further information on Emma's extramarital affair. Surprisingly, the informant responded, saying her ex-wife had been cheating on her for months. "I do not feel comfortable giving you more information... I think you deserve to know, so I made sure you know. This isn't something I overheard. Who I am is a lot less important than what your wife is doing to you," the warning email said. 

A shocking reaction

After the last email, while Emma was out for a doctor's appointment, Sanchez searched their house for evidence. However, to her dismay, she found nothing suspicious. Frustrated, Sanchez then decided to confront her ex-wife directly and end it all at once. Soon enough, Emma returned home, and Sanchez asked her if she had been cheating on her with Amanda. Surprisingly, her ex-wife didn't seem surprised; in fact, she was quick to respond with, "Why would you ask me that?" 

‘Why don't you just be an adult’

"It just felt like she was angry at me for bringing this up to her," Sanchez said, recalling Emma's reaction. Every time she tried to ask her for more information, her ex-wife reacted just like a robot. She kept denying the affair and also tried to gaslight Sanchez. At one point, Emma even smirked and asked, "Why don't you just be an adult and tell me what's going on?" which, of course, made Sanchez extremely uncomfortable. With every passing second, Sanchez got frustrated with the constant cold replies. She even tried to get her ex-wife to confess the truth by asking her to swear on their dog, which Emma refused.

The gaslighting

However, eventually, Emma did confess to having an "emotional affair" with Amanda but refused to have been in a physical relationship with her. Moreover, she said she had also told one of their other mutual friends about it. Sanchez was obviously shocked, but she maintained her calm and continued asking her ex-wife more about her affair. However, Emma just refused to spill any details. In fact, she went on to say that their marriage was over because of how Sanchez chose to confront her about her extramarital affair.

At one point, Emma even confessed that she wanted to be with Amanda but decided to stay with Sanchez because Kevin had convinced her to give her marriage another chance. "I remember her so f****** clearly saying, 'I am not giving you the intimate details... because it is none of your business," Sanchez recounted. After a series of conflicting answers, Sanchez was so exhausted that she just asked Emma to pack up her bags and leave.

No second chances

A 2008 Gallup survey revealed that more than half (64%) of Americans said they would not forgive a cheating spouse, while an almost equal share (62%) said they would leave their partner and get a divorce if they found out about an affair. The research supports Sanchez's decisions. She could not forgive Emma for cheating on her with their best friend and later divorced her. What surprised her the most is how Emma blamed her for their marriage breakdown, even though she was the one having an extramarital affair.
