Woman feeds the crow companion of her taxi driver speeding along in a heartwarming moment

Everyone experiences a bad day once in a while. Abbie Cashman—who goes by @abbiecashman7—it was her car getting a flat tire. Cashman described it as "having the worst day ever" in her TikTok video, which got viral popularity for an unusual reason. The woman from Ireland documented her rather memorable day in a video after booking a taxi ride to her destination. However, she wasn't expecting the wild surprise that came along with her ride.

Cashman found herself in the company of the taxi driver and his buddy, who turned out to be a crow. In this amusing ride, she ended up feeding the crow, which continued to keep up with the speeding taxi and flew at the window level of the car so it could snag some tasty treats from the driver and, in this case, from Cashman as well. According to TODAY, Cashman revealed that after getting a flat tire, she couldn't get a ride from any passing taxi and the busses were full too. So, she ended up booking herself a car through a ride-share app on her phone.

"It's like it's meant to be. Like that was such a bad day and so, so many things went wrong to end up in that taxi," 20-year-old Cashman told the outlet. As soon as she got inside the taxi, she spotted a crow sitting atop the rearview mirror on the driver's side. Like any other stray bird, it flew away as soon as the car started moving. But little did Cashman know that the crow would be traveling alongside her. "As we were driving, the driver was like, 'Oh, my friend's back there,' and I look out the window and this crow is flying beside me," she recalled while laughing.

She asked the driver if the crow was his pet, but the driver clarified that it wasn't. However, the bird tends to follow him at times. The driver keeps a plastic box full of treats like sweets and jellies for anyone who books his ride, but it also substitutes treats for the friendly crow. The video recorded by Cashman shows her holding a digestive biscuit in her hand and reaching out of the rolled-down car window to feed the bird as it swoops down neatly to catch the biscuit with its beak.

Cashman works as a barista at Cork Airport and also attends school. It is a brief 10-minute drive to her work, but the encounter with the crow on her "worst day" uplifted her mood. "I had a terrible day and it was like everything just kind of matched up for me to get into this taxi and have this experience and then for everyone else in the world to see it, as well," she said, according to the outlet. So far, her viral video has accumulated over 5 million views, over 935k likes and countless comments.
