As the famous saying goes, "Money can't buy happiness," and in various aspects of life, it proves to be true. There are precious moments in our lives that give us much more joy than money does. However, many argue that to create situations that give us peace of mind and happiness, we surely need to pay the price. Anna Kai—who goes by @maybeboth on Instagram—shared one such relevant rationalization as to why earning more money is vital these days, particularly for women. Someone named Chad had previously questioned Kai, "Why is your self-worth so tied to our money?" and her response is something that most women could relate to.

Being the make-up enthusiast that she is, Kai followed her signature style of doing her make-up while giving her a sassy response in this video. "I feel like I haven't talked enough about why I love money lately. So here goes," the influencer began. Speaking of Chad's question, Kai mentioned how "no man in the history of the human race had ever been asked such questions" about why his self-worth was connected to money. However, she explained why she loved being rich saying, "In this capitalist wheel we all live in, it takes money to do just about anything." She emphasized how not only she but all women must love money and make more of it to gain financial freedom.

Kai then went on to talk about what she truly meant by "freedom." "It's the ability to go buy your own house and provide for your family, even if that family is a three-legged dog named Sparky," she said with snarky humor. As per the fashion blogger, financial freedom is essential for women so they don't feel the need to be dependent on toxic men like Chad. "Freedom means being able to say to your lowkey 'only when he's drunk' abusive boyfriend that you're tired of dating both Jekyll and Hyde," she said and added, "The ability to pay for your apartment to get away from a man who can't decide whether he loves or hates you." Stressing how women were gaslit for ages that their earning money was a "deterioration of the family unit," Kai put forward that she loved making money.

Ending her response to Chad in one powerful line, Kai said, "My self-worth is tied to my freedom and my ability to provide for the people who always provided for me and it's really hard to accomplish any of that without money." Her caption read, "The only thing better than marrying a rich man is being a rich woman." No wonder this inspiring video went viral with over 596K views in just six days. Many lauded Kai in the comments for voicing this out.

"Money was the deciding factor in me staying or leaving an abusive relationship. Money was the difference in me being crushed in family court or being able to have adequate counsel. Money is everything," commented @everyday_jmj. "Men know exactly why money is important and why it's important to us. They're just hoping that we don't know what they know," wrote @ashpariseau. "I love money and I love what it can do for me. It means I am never subservient or in a situation I don't want to be in. I think this is a fantastic message," commented @theactivedogcompany.
