The woman was not used to working in the fast food industry but took the job regardless because she needed it.

Finding a new job is not a piece of cake, especially in the current economy. Besides, when a person is jobless for a long time, life becomes even tougher with added responsibilities. However, in such a difficult time, what would one do if they were offered a job at such a time and then got fired even before they could start working? A similar thing happened with Mariah Luciano—who goes by @tyjamiell on TikTok. She got hired at Wendy's and then got fired even before her first day. Luciano shared the incident through a video.

"You all, I just experienced the craziest thing in my life," she began. "So I have been without a job for seven months. Right to the point where I get evicted because I can no longer pay my bills," Luciano said, giving more context to her situation. "Two days after I moved out of my apartment, I got a job interview at Wendy's." She had a job interview with the district manager on a Saturday. "I pretty much beg this b**** for a job." She shared how she didn't even work for fast food but for a warehouse and on a work-from-home basis. An hour later, she got a call from another manager that she had been hired. She was told, "You need to come up here on Sunday and do your paperwork."

Luciano did her paperwork for about an hour with another shift manager. He said, "Okay, somebody's going to call you and tell you your start date. She didn't hear anything on Monday. "Tuesday comes around, at 12 pm I get a text message from the district manager telling me I was supposed to start at 12 pm." She checked her texts, calls and voicemails and had no messages on anything. "I explained to her that I haven't heard from anybody since I did the paperwork on Sunday." She got a call from the manager who told her she could either start today or tomorrow. Luciano chose to start the next day as it was on really short notice. The manager agreed with that and hung up, but immediately sent her a text that she was supposed to start that day.

The woman explained her situation again as she shared a screenshot of a text message she received. The manager responded, "Unfortunately, I don't think this is going to work out." The employee expressed, "How is that my fault? Your managers lack communication between themselves. Like, what do you want me to do?" She captioned the post, "This is exactly why I don't work in fast food [they are] unprofessional and unorganized as f***." People supported Luciano and shared their bits in the comments.

@justbeingcase wrote, "She did that on purpose. She was playing on your vulnerability and desperation and honestly, that was the best thing that could've happened to you, that rejection is a redirection." @dawnknots commented, "I would have asked, 'Can you let me know who reached out to me with this information and what day/time they called or texted so I can check with my phone company.'" @cocoapuffz20 remarked, "Girl, I just went through this. It was ten months. I applied to everything. Just started something new yesterday. They are hiring nationwide if you want the information."
