She explains how the work-life culture is so different in Europe that she is absolutely enjoying moving out of the US.
The benefits of moving abroad are never listed enough. Whenever one is moving to another country for studies, work or other opportunities, it becomes a refreshing experience with numerous benefits. Kayleigh—who goes by @kayshaynee on TikTok—has been long advocating the many reasons to move abroad and discover thrilling experiences. As a person who has moved from America to Europe, the woman can’t help but make a strong case for why it’s better to move abroad. In one of her videos, she strongly recommended moving if one is looking for working opportunities for the right reasons. She shared that she had moved and “the difference is stark in many ways.”
Kayleigh said, “On today’s agenda, we will be talking about work-life in America versus work-life in Europe." She added that when she was working in Ireland and was sick, she got time off to recover. “Take as much time off as you need and it will be paid,” she said, echoing the words of her manager. Kayleigh further revealed that despite being on paid sick leave for a week and a half, her kind-hearted manager ensured she was completely fit before she could get back to work. “Even when I was ready to go back to work, I got the, ‘Are you sure? You can take as much time as you need,’” the woman added.
Kayleigh then explained how they had “sick time” in America, which was only a few hours per month. “I’ve had to take sick time for various things, one being a funeral. Don’t get me started on that,” she said. She mentioned how the sick leave policy is so stringent compared to what she experienced in Ireland and that moving would give her quality of life considering the work aspect. Her next reason to move abroad and grab opportunities again was work-related.
She mentioned in another post that in Ireland she had over 20 days of paid leave throughout the year, barring sick leaves. “I don’t have vacation time left because I took 5 days of vacation and that is a lot by American standards,” the woman said. The woman shared that employees in Europe must have at least 20 days off in a year.
Lastly, she mentioned that traveling in Europe is hassle-free and intriguing. With multiple options to explore, easy access to leaves and cheap flights, there is no stopping a traveling soul once they have moved. She revealed that there are cheap flights available under $50 to different countries in Europe and who could want anything more? The last but yet important factor to consider is the healthy lifestyle. She shared in her post how she was able to lose weight, get fit and even eat healthy while enjoying abroad. The meals and the lifestyle were fun-filled and yet healthy and worth the enjoyment. People are convinced, thanks to her spilling the beans on the benefits of moving abroad. @hbmconsulting said, “The weight loss is so real, especially here in the Netherlands.” @mareabroad said, “Love this! America needs to up its game seriously.”
