No matter how hard someone tries to cover their tracks, the truth always finds a way to squeeze through the cracks. When a young woman named Sam (@smoneyyz) returned home to Philadelphia after a long, grueling work trip from New York, her gut told her something wasn't right. Acting on that suspicion, she uncovered her boyfriend's secret iPad. When she opened it, she didn't just discover her partner's infidelity, but was shocked by its regularity. She later uploaded a video of the entire incident on TikTok on August 11, 2026, garnering over 262,000 views.

Series of bizarre events

The ordeal began when Sam returned home after wrapping her Pilates teacher certification class at around 9:30 PM. Expecting a warm welcome, since she took an Amtrak from New York City to Philadelphia, she was met with coldness instead. Nonetheless, she didn't make much of it and headed upstairs to shower and perform her nighttime routine in the house the couple recently bought together. But before she could do that, as soon as she entered her room, she noticed something weird.

The regular-sized pillow covers were awkwardly stretched over their king-sized pillows. When she asked her boyfriend about this, he claimed that he took them downstairs to watch TV on the couch. "He is asking me why I am being so uptight," she recalled. Rather than engaging in an argument, she took her melatonin and went to sleep, but the weird energy lingered into the next morning. After finishing her workout and prepping dinner, she noticed that her boyfriend left his belt and shoes by the door despite claiming he hadn't gone out on the weekend.

Discovering the secret device

Nonetheless, Sam started helping him unpack his bag from a recent work trip to Ohio. It was during this that she noticed a bag of scrubs hanging out. Tucked inside it was a brand-new, secret iPad sitting in its box. Trusting the bad feeling in her soul, Sam typed in her boyfriend's birthday, and sure enough, it worked. That was it, because as soon as she got into the system, she discovered a landmine of unfaithfulness inside it

Proof of uninvited guests

One of the very first texts Sam stumbled upon featured a photo of a girl in a gym asking, "Babe, are you pregnant?" But that was just the tip of the iceberg. To make matters worse, the same woman had sent Sam's boyfriend a link to the Bond No. 9 site, saying, "This is the perfume I like from your house." As she dug further, Sam discovered there were several women her partner had been sneaking around with behind her back. Sam saw multiple texts from those women with her partner, even using Google Translate to talk to one of them in Spanish.

The final confrontation

After taking screenshots of everything on her phone, she sent those to her partner. Getting impatient waiting for a reply, she then called him, but he hung up on her. He knew he had been caught red-handed, so when he called back, he started to defend himself. "I'm a psychopath. I'm a narcissist. You caught me. I'm so sorry. I have nothing to say. I love you so much. I don't know why I did this," he said. Following this, he blocked Sam from his iCloud account and vanished for the night. She stayed home alone, while he slept in the hospital where he worked as a surgeon.

Snooping is common for couples

The reason Sam was able to find out the truth was that she snooped around and found his iPad. According to a SellCell survey, 51% of Americans report going through their partner's phone without telling them. Moreover, a striking 74% of people even confirm sharing their passcodes with their partners. However, 8% of people say they didn't share it with their lovers, but they figured it out anyway, similar to what Sam did with her boyfriend. Most respondents wanted to use apps, but a key reason for checking a partner's phone was to see if they were cheating.

It's just unfathomable

Regardless, Sam's story was too much to handle for most of the people. @justttherewithyou wrote, "It sounds like he has an addiction because keeping up with that amount of women is not normal." At the same time, @meghandiamond commented, "Something I will never understand is how these women that come into a house where another woman lives in don’t say anything… like what!!!"
