Living in a peaceful neighborhood where everyone respects each other's space is a blessing. But sometimes, there's that one neighbor who seems determined to disrupt everyone’s peace. Reddit user u/japaneseCrying shared how she dealt with such a troublesome neighbor in a surprisingly creative way—like a "Disney princess." She began her post by describing this neighbor as the epitome of what a bad neighbor should be.

The neighborhood is full of mostly two-story houses except one house in the middle that is more of a store. The store does detailing on cars and their accessories and has a low roof which allows the entire neighborhood to get a good view of other houses around. "So, the major complaint is the noise and this guy blasts trash music all day long, which would not be a problem if this guy respected the volume and time allowed. Everyone in the block has called the police because of the noise after midnight at least once," the post read. At one point, the individual's family also summoned the police at 3 a.m. and they informed the family that the sound had already "exceeded the permitted decibels since before the street began."

Things took an ugly turn when the rowdy man decided to call the cops as well to complain about a newborn baby crying in the neighborhood for payback. But the police brushed him off. Not only was the guy ruining the peace in the neighborhood but he was also identified as a creep by the residents who had installed tinted windows or curtains at their homes because of his habit of peeking through the windows. When things started getting out of hand, the woman decided to teach the neighbor a fitting lesson. She noticed that the unruly neighbor was mostly asleep all morning and he stayed up at night.

"I asked every neighbor if they were ok with the birds chirping. The majority said they loved it. Then I asked the detailing store if I could scatter some seeds on their roof to attract birds. The owner said yes because the other guy threw trash at the store's roof, so every single week the owner had to clean the gutters," the post continued. So the woman started scattering seeds for the birds early morning each day on the store's roof and in less than a week, there was a huge army of birds flocking around. She also put some twigs and leaves on the roof so the birds could build their nests nearby.

"Now, the most delicious part of my revenge, was when I decided the birds needed a little treat. I have a friend who breeds insects for people to feed their exotic pets, so I asked him for 100 crickets to feed the birds. He gave me an amazing discount. The next day I was scattering crickets on the roof. The birds started eating the crickets but obviously, they couldn't eat them all, so the rest of the dozens of crickets that escaped, ran to the nearest shelter. The idiot's open balcony," the woman added. The annoying neighbor tried killing the birds as well but he failed because the birds that came to feed over there were protected by ambiental law so if he tried to harm them, he would have been heavily fined.

The sweet payback not only taught the neighbor a lesson, but it made the woman feel like a Disney princess who could wake up to the sound of birds chirping every day. The Reddit community cheered her for the clever plot. u/lapsteelguitar wrote, "Every so often, somebody comes along with revenge so well thought out, so well executed, so damn petty, makes me smile and laugh. And you've done that here." u/CourageMesAmies suggested, "Bonus to your cunning plan: play recorded bird songs on an outdoor speaker. It’s easy to find free bird songs online that you can download and play on a loop." u/Hatstand82 added, "Perfect. Ecologically friendly revenge! Any chance the car place would let you keep chickens on the roof? A rooster alarm clock would be great!"
