Immigrant families have to cross a lot of hurdles when they move to a new country in search of a better life and opportunities for their kids. Not only do they face language barriers and financial constraints, but there are a lot of complex bureaucratic obstacles and paperwork that prevent immigrant people from pursuing quality education on time. As a result, immigrant children often grow up and find themselves working minimum-wage jobs due to the lack of educational opportunities. However, many immigrant students are breaking the glass ceiling and making their parents proud. Angelica Remache Lopez—who goes by @angelica.remache on TikTok—is one of them.

Lopez shared a heartwarming video of celebrating her Harvard graduation day with her immigrant parents in a special way. The video starts with her standing alone as the overlay caption reads, "We graduated from Harvard." The next moment, she pulls her parents in front of the camera and they all exchange warm hugs. Lopez proceeds to take off her graduation cap and places it on her father's head. He gets visibly emotional as they embrace once again. She takes off the Harvard sash from around her neck and puts it on her father.

But she is not done yet. Lopez turns to her mom, who is clapping and beaming at her daughter's actions from the side. Lopez takes off her black robe and makes her mom wear it. The mother and daughter duo embrace each other tearfully. The Lopez family poses together at the end, with the graduate's mom and dad wearing her graduation attire now. The video gained over 2 million views so far and counting. Fellow immigrants and Ecuadorians on TikTok joined in to celebrate Lopez's academic win and shared congratulatory comments on the video.

Congratulations, love, La Tri is beyond proud of you." @ruthpico1 commented, "Congratulations. It seems like my own dreams come true. I emigrated to this country 40 years ago and I didn't have the chance to do this. May God bless you in your new step forward." @user5027795084408 quipped, "That's awesome to see how grateful she feels about her parents. You must be an amazing person and damn smart!!! God bless you and your beautiful family." @kathy_jhanet added, "This video brings me so much joy to see us immigrants thrive! Congratulations and wishing you all the best in your future endeavors."

In a follow-up video, Lopez continued her graduation celebration with her parents by giving them presents. "Got graduation presents for my parents because they did everything so I could go to the college," the text overlay on Lopez's second video read. The audience can see her parents holding two white gift boxes as they open the box to take out two cards. Lopez's mom gasps in awe when she reads the note on it and her father silently takes his time to absorb the gift he received. In the end, they unbox the actual gift, a sweatshirt for both her parents that reads Harvard Papi and Harvard Mami on it.
