She was tired of being constantly being ignore by the staff at this luxury showroom. So, she decided to get back in the best way possible.
Not being heard or paid attention to while trying to buy something isn't exactly a pleasant experience. A woman was ignored at a Louis Vuitton store in China and decided to get back at them in a hilarious way. The woman shared her experience at the StarLight Place shopping center in Chongqing, southwestern China on Xiaohongshu, a Chinese social media platform where she goes by xiaomayouren, as per South China Morning Post.
The woman felt that she had been ignored by the staff at the Louis Vuitton showroom when she went in to buy some clothes. The woman went to the store with a Hermes bag hoping to see the new arrivals but the staff pointed her to old seasonal clothes and completely ignored her request for a glass of water. The woman shared how the staff seemed unwilling to show her dresses or help her in any way. Apparently, they even rolled their eyes at her. Seeing their behavior she was forced to leave the store empty-handed and reach out to the headquarters to complain about the staff's dismissive behavior. However, she didn't receive a proper response from there either.
With no other choice, the woman was forced to come up with a way to exact revenge on her own. Two months later, the woman went to the store again. She carried a bag full of 600,000 yuan or $84,000 in cash and took a friend and her personal assistant with her this time. They browsed some clothes and decided to buy them. She let the staff know what they wanted to buy. But instead of paying with a card, the woman left the staff to go through the daunting task of counting $84,000 worth of cash. It took the store staff about two hours to count the notes and ensure that they were being paid the right amount for the purchase, as per The Strait Times.
But once they were done, the woman informed them that she had changed her mind. "We don’t want to buy now. We are leaving," she said before taking back the money that the staff had counted with a lot of effort and walking off empty-handed. “After they finished counting it, I just took away my money and left. How is it possible for me to buy their products to improve their work performance?” she expressed on the social media platform as per South China Morning Post. Many people commented on the post to show their support for what the woman did to get back at the staff.
A person commented, "This ending is so delightful. I have always wondered why these shop assistants are so arrogant." Another user wrote, "They sell luxury goods, but it does not mean they are luxury goods themselves." The story garnered a lot of attention and gained traction online.
In another similar story, people supported a teenager whose mother let her friend borrow the girl's Louis Vuitton bag and ended up losing it. As per a Reddit post by u/Glittering-Celery323, the 15-year-old girl had worked at a local restaurant for months because she wanted to buy something nice for herself. She eventually gathered enough money to buy a Louis Vuitton bag and kept it carefully for a week. But even before she had a chance to use it, her mom let a friend borrow it. The friend ended up losing the bag and didn't plan on replacing it.
