Woman assumes priest praying over her wants a high-five and goes for it in front of the whole congregation

Most people go through one or more embarrassing moments in their life. That moment might feel very awkward when it happens and become hilarious and memorable later on. In some cases, it might also turn into a family's inside joke for decades. Nonetheless, it isn't exactly unusual to feel confused about something in a situation. A woman had a similar incident when she gave a high-five to a priest who was praying on her and the moment is hilarious. The person, Isabel Chavez, who goes by @isabelvchaavez on TikTok, took to the platform to share her story.

The clip featured an old video where Chavez was wearing an all-white attire on her 15th birthday and saying something to the congregation through a microphone. As she addressed the people, a priest stood beside her throughout the time. At one point, the priest raised his hand over her head to pray on her. Once the girl was done talking, she turned around a little to see the man's raised hand and awkwardly gave him a very soft high five in front of everyone present at the church. "Throwback to when I high-fived the priest  who was praying over me." However, the moment the girl touched her hand with the priest's, she realized what she had done and immediately hid her face with her hands out of embarrassment.

The priest, on the other hand, was trying to hold in his laughter at the girl's unexpected action as he continued praying over her until he was done. Through the caption, the girl admitted, "This was so EMBARRASSING." The hilarious video received more than 9 million views and over 1.4 million likes. People took to the comments section to express how funny the moments were, while other people shared their own awkward and embarrassing moments with the internet and how they can never live down those moments, no matter how many years pass.

I once called a judge, 'your Majesty' as a baby lawyer; it still haunts me to this day." @nancyjanette_ commented, "At church, I thought my mom was to my right, so I went in to kiss her cheek for La Paz and it was a random lady we both laughed awkwardly and to this day, my family still makes fun of me." @kails.j remarked, "Once at church when it was completely silent, my uncle had downed an entire pack of tictacs and then coughed or choked, spitting them all out - All you could hear was tictacs hitting the floor."

@counselhinojosa1 shared, "My best friend and I were in a Quince and during Church, she kept saying 'pleased to meet you' during la Paz instead of 'peace be with you.'" @ariannahduran expressed, "Damn, I did this the other day. I was getting my car serviced and the man held his hand out and I shook his hand. He was trying to grab my keys from me." @calicharchar recounted, "One time I was standing in front of the door on the fridge of frozen food & a man came up & leaned in so I hugged him. Turns out he was just trying to open the door to grab something from the fridge."
