Wife’s 20-year tradition of adding creative, funny doodles to her spouse’s lunch impresses many

While romantic overtures and grand gestures have their place in a relationship, it’s often the smaller actions that truly leave an impact and contribute to a long-lasting bond. These thoughtful gestures go a long way in making someone feel special, especially in today’s world, often consumed by frenzy. Recently, a Reddit user known as u/Infamous-Ground9095 took to the platform to share their wife's thoughtful habit, which she has been practicing for over two decades.

In the post, the individual shared a series of doodles that their wife draws and includes in their lunch. "Every day my wife includes a doodle in my lunch, we’ve been together 20 years. Here is a small sample," they wrote in the caption before sharing the photos. The images serve as a perfect reminder that not every thoughtful gesture requires a lot of effort; they just need to be heartfelt.

In the first slide, the wife has drawn a yeti with the words "Chew Chew Chew your food" written beside the illustration. The second slide shows a cat stuffing food in its mouth, with the words "It's nomination time, Nom Nom Nom" scribbled above and below the doodle. The third doodle features a cute illustration of a wolf with the caption, "Got your lunch, then wolf it down."

The fourth slide is a Halloween special doodle with a witch and her pet bat on a broomstick, accompanied by the caption, "Have a wicked lunch and a happy Halloween." Other slides feature cute fish illustrations and a ninja cat that literally threatens, "Enjoy your lunch, or else..." Another slide shows a doodle of a bear holding a spork with a thought bubble saying, "Hmm, is it a spork or a foon?" and the words "Does it matter, just eat," scribbled at the bottom.

Needless to say, people in the comment section were moved by the wife’s thoughtful gesture, while others complimented her doodling skills. "Wow. Those are more than doodles. Those are great illustrations. Is she a cartoonist? Very talented," wrote u/DisconcerteDinOC. "When small gestures like a daily doodle persist over 20 years, they become a beautiful testament to love, creativity and commitment," expressed u/FionaMooncrest. Others asked them to publish the illustrations, "You could probably publish these to be used as napkin decore," added u/Darth-ohzz. "If that’s not love I don’t know what is. You’re a lucky man to have this woman in your life. You picked the right one, cheers for 20 more years of doodles," expressed u/Tasty-Way-2987.

In another sweet story, a wife named Rosa Sosa—who goes by @ana_rosa_sosa on TikTok—decided to surprise her stay-at-home husband with a special gift that he thoroughly enjoyed. "So I got my husband a two-night stay at a hotel just to relax because he works really hard," she said in the video. She went on to explain how her husband loved the gift and even sent her a video. In the video, her husband can be seen entering the room, closing his eyes for a few seconds to relax, setting the AC temperature to 65 degrees and enjoying a cheeseburger while Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" plays in the background.
