What's life without a fun partner? No matter how strong the love is, any marriage requires an element of mischief. If you can be playful with your better half or able to ridicule them without them getting offended, then the relationship surely has the potential to last longer. Keeping married life light with harmless pranks and sweet gestures sustains the joy of being with your partner for years. A Reddit post that gained a lot of traction recently is proof of this. u/BobbyIke posted, "My wife got me a cake for what I thought was a big accomplishment," and shared a picture of the cake that had an ironic message on it.

As the Oregon-based Bobby shared the three-layered cake's image on December 5, the post became a spectacle of laughter because of the message iced on it that said, "Nobody cares." Though the message on the celebratory cake seemed a bit insulting, it was purely done with a cheerful intention. Talking to TODAY about the backstory of this hilarious cake, Bobby, who owns a printing company explained, "I’ve been working on this website for three years or so," and added that though he was not a web developer, he was proud that he made some coding accomplishments while developing the site.

"Over the years while I was building it, every time I completed any small thing like a button or something like that, I would show one of my employees," the husband said. "Eventually, I think they just got tired of hearing about me, showing them these small, tiny tasks that I had accomplished." He mentioned that at one point when he boasted about his simple victories, his employees replied with a sarcastic "Nobody cares," and then added some words of support. "I told my wife that story and we both found it hilarious. That kind of just became the mantra of me building this website over the past three years," said Bobby.

One fine day, Bobby's wife asked him to pick up the cake she ordered for him from the bakery, Hungry Hero at Sherwood, Oregon.  About his first reaction on seeing the cake, Bobby said, "When I opened it in the bakery, I laughed out loud immediately, because it was absolutely perfect." His Reddit post had hundreds of comments sharing the same laughter as Bobby, but some were critical of his wife's intentions. Bobby explained, "A lot of the Reddit comments were, as you might imagine, not great. We (Bobby and his wife) have a relationship where we tease each other when it’s appropriate and are supportive when we realize we need it. That’s our type of humor."

u/new_number_one commented, "The irony of the 'nobody cares' cake is pretty good," and asked Bobby, "Did she tell you she got a cake to celebrate ahead of time? Just curious." Bobby replied in the comments, "Nope. In fact, I had to go pick up the cake on the way to the party because she ended up getting a cold and couldn't make it. I burst out laughing when I saw it." u/operationfood wrote, "One of my friends took an extra 2 years to complete her degree, and her boyfriend brought home a nice cheesecake that said 'Thank God You Finally Graduated' hahaha we all loved that one."
