A little humor can do wonders for keeping a marriage or relationship lively. Couples often play pranks or share silly jokes to keep the fun alive. Recently, one wife had the internet laughing when she decided to make her husband's childhood dream come true. Posting on Reddit, the husband u/samx3i shared that his wife created a raspberry buffet for his birthday, poking fun at a song lyric he misheard as a child.

The husband posted a picture of the meal his wife had prepared, and the raspberries were certainly the star of the show. From raspberry chocolates to pies and pastries, this platter was a raspberry lover's dream. But why so many raspberries? It turns out the husband was a huge raspberry fan as a child. "When I was a kid, I misheard the lyrics to Prince's 'Raspberry Beret' as 'Raspberry Buffet,'" he explained. As a devoted raspberry fan, he believed Prince shared his love for the fruit.

"But he (Prince) was so rich he could order raspberry buffets whenever he liked, which I could only dream of," the husband joked. When a user asked how the husband connected the lyric, "the kind that you'd find in a second-hand store," from the "Raspberry Beret" song to the raspberry fruits, he replied, "I was a kid. I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics aside from the 'raspberry buffet' part and that's all a young raspberry lover needed. I don't think I even knew what a beret was." Later in life, he told his wife about his crazy obsession with fruit. "Then along comes my wife, making dreams come true," the husband wrote, implying the delectable buffet his wife made for his birthday. "I used to think Prince was the most fortunate man in the world. Turns out I am," the husband proudly added.

People were amused by the wife's sweet yet hilarious gesture for her "raspberry lover" husband. "First of all, this is very nice and made me jealous in a good way. Tell your wife that a random internet stranger is proud of her idea and the final product, originality, authenticity, desire, love, man, she showed it all here," lauded u/44-47-25_N_20_28-5-E. "It's one of the greatest feelings to receive something like this from your partner. It means they listened, and Glithey thought about something you said. They acted on those thoughts of you for no other reason than for you to be happy," noted u/Glittering_Daikon_19. "As a fellow raspberry lover, I commend your wife on a job well done," added u/ejester.

Speaking of wives being humorous, another husband shared the hilarious cake his wife ordered for him with a sarcastic message. u/BobbyIke posted on Reddit a picture of the cake his wife got to celebrate his "achievement," which said, "Nobody cares." Though it may seem like a nonchalant message, it was intended to mock the husband, who often boasts about his small accomplishments at work. Such lighthearted mockery was the couple's way of keeping up the humor in their marriage.
