People took to the comments section of the post to appreciate the cute gesture of the wife. u/greebytime commented, "Really appreciate the change in the spelling of your to you’re on the last bullet. What an adorable partner you have." The person replied, "I can only hope they feel as lucky as I do." u/sawpony wrote, "Don’t hope, homie - make sure you intentionally return this kind of love bc you can be sure she would love the same kinda smooshy love letters in return. (Signed, someone who gave this kind of love/energy for a very long time & now is quite bitter at the lack of return over the years.)"

The husband shared that he returned the gesture and explained, "She has a whole book of poetry I wrote her, and I like to surprise her with flowers and a nice home-cooked meal. But I’ll take your advice and mix it up a little. I’m thinking of a, 'have a cute day' letter and I’ll leave it on the front of her steering wheel. I’d consider chocolate, but it’s been getting a little toasty lately."

Another individual shared, "This just sent back some memories of when my boyfriend worked the night shift at a hotel. Every night he worked I’d get him food and write a cute note on one of the napkins for him. Now he works a day shift at a different hotel so I’ll just have lunch with him and sometimes (since he’s the only front desk employee and his boss just had a baby and is chill) I’ll help him do the laundry in the back so we have more time to chill in the lobby. I’m on the last day of a work trip and headed home (still 9 hours away) and miss him and our 3 adorable cats so much! He told me the other day that they kept waiting by the door for me and looking at him like he was the one that made me leave, they even started acting up and breaking stuff! I miss my babies so much."
