Trigger Warning: The following story deals with themes of loss and grief.

Losing your partner is an incredibly painful heartbreak that leaves a lasting void in life. Yet, even after they are gone, their presence lives on in our hearts through the cherished memories they leave behind. Similarly, Sabrina (@sabfortony on Instagram) was brought to tears when she decided to eat the last meal her late husband, Tony, had prepared before she moved out of their shared home.

The day Tony passed away, his wife, Sabrina, was craving some Japanese curry, so he cooked it for her. However, after Tony's unfortunate demise, his wife ended up freezing some of the curry because she wanted to "preserve it forever." After over two years of losing her husband, Sabrina decided to finish Tony's last meal since she was moving out of the state. "Tony was the primary cook of our family, and so anytime I was craving anything, he would make it for me. That was one of the many ways that he showed love to me," she shared, struggling to hold back her emotions. Sabrina warmed up the frozen meal, sat at the dining table facing the camera, and with a heavy heart, thanked Tony for preparing her last meal in their home. "Umm, it's too good! This had carrots, onions, potatoes, and beef, and he put mushrooms in it," she said, relishing her food. Reflecting more on the bittersweet moment, Sabrina wrote, "I will forever miss his cooking," in the caption.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Instagram reel, @atulmochmad commented, "Even in death, he feeds you once more. His love really transcends his death." @cindy commented, "I'm sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how all of this makes you feel! But I hope you find peace one day, and you will find love." @amor wrote, "My husband's name is Tony and the way you say his name with such love is just…I’m so sorry for your loss." @oliviaolfactory commented, "Phew! My heart HURTS. I wish I could crawl through the screen and give you a big hug!" @ncjleun wrote, "Aww! I can't even judge you for eating a 2-year-old curry, cause I get it. I would too, be worth it even if I got food poisoning." @nursyuhadah commented, "My late father passed away 11 years ago...and his clothes wardrobe still smells like him...and it takes literally 1 second for me to cry out whenever I open that closet."

@whatsherface commented, "It's been 7 years for me and sometimes it still hits hard out of nowhere. What I wouldn't give to eat my partner's cooking one last time...He was also usually the one cooking for us. I hope things are going well for you!" @carinashero wrote, "Wow! My phone really listened to my whole therapy session. Just now, I was crying about how I’m moving soon and can’t preserve all my dad’s cooking I have in the freezer. It feels like he’s still here while I still have food he cooked with love. Creepy that this was the first video to pop up for me but also thank YOU because your video made me feel less alone with this specific grief. Your husband sounds like such a sweet and caring person and I thank you for sharing his memory with us. Sending you a big big hug & lots of patience for your move!"
