Falling in love with a person might seem like something that happens in one moment, but it is usually a culmination of many events and experiences that occurred over the course of time. However, such incidents that seem like the turning point of a couple's journey make for really interesting stories. Reddit user u/His_stargazer shared one such story when they recalled the time their husband made them a "mac and cheese soup" for the first time. It was also the day they said "I love you" to him for the very first time and he still talks about it to this day. But what he didn't know was that there's an even more special reason behind them finally admitting their feelings.

The partner admitted that this was something they'd never told their husband. "I’ve been with my husband for almost three decades; we began dating in high school. When I was at his house once, I mentioned I was hungry. He ran to his kitchen and tried to make some mac and cheese but added too much milk," the post revealed. "He was so excited to make something for me and felt bad about messing it up, so I went on a huge rave about how it was the best thing I’ve ever had. That was also the first time I told him I loved him," they shared.

"The way he looked at me after that will never leave my mind. To this day, he will joyfully tell anyone how he made me fall in love with him with 'mac and cheese soup.' The truth is, the 'soup' is okay, but I fell in love with him because he is the most generous and amazing person I have ever known," they revealed. "Now, every time he makes me a bowl of mac and cheese soup, he has the biggest smile and I get to fall in love with this man all over again," they expressed. Many people took to the comments section to appreciate the sweet story, while others shared their own experiences.

I said I do, but I just get it because it's what she wants, and I don't care much. She told me she only gets sausage because she thought I liked it. We only get pepperoni pizza now." u/anitasdoodles remarked, "That’s love. My fella and I have been together for five years and I LOVE plants. Lately, despite my best efforts, I keep killing them. Came outside today to a few new ones and my boyfriend just kissed me and said, 'You keep killing them, I’ll keep buying them.' Made me cry. Having an empathetic soul who truly loves you is so rare and so wonderful."

u/motormouth08 commented, "We were older, but the time I knew for sure I was going to end up marrying my husband was when I was really sick. My throat was so sore and swollen that I hadn't eaten for days. I finally started to get an appetite and told him I could probably eat some pudding. This was pre-cell phone days and he forgot to ask what kind I wanted. He came back with two giant cans, one chocolate and one tapioca. The cans were the size that they use in buffet restaurants. He wanted to make sure that if I wanted pudding, I was going to get pudding. We were married a year later."
