The kids were too excited and spelled out dreams based on the idea of making money from shoveling snow.
A video of two kids securing their first odd job and dreaming of becoming rich is going viral on Twitter. Kids often do odd jobs to earn extra pocket money and this appeared to be these kids' first. The video showed the friends walking up to a neighbor's home and asking if they could shovel the driveway on their porch in exchange for 20 bucks. The owners of the home are more than happy to pay them for their services and tell them they're stepping out. The homeowner goes inside to get the money and the boys can't contain their joy. "We're going to be rich," the boys brag before making elaborate plans with all the money they intend to earn through shoveling snow. The innocence of the kids is adorable and the video is going viral on Twitter, with more than 11.2 million views and 103,000 likes.
The video starts out with the two kids walking up to the home. They ring the bell and wait. One kid turns to the other and says, "I'm positive right now." They give each other a nudge as the homeowner opens the door. They greet the owner, "Hi, do you want us to shovel your driveway for 20 bucks." The homeowner responds, "Yes.. we do," and explains that they are stepping out. "Okay, I'll get you 20 bucks now but we have to leave. So I'll give you the money if you can shovel it and then we'll be back in an hour okay," the owner tells them, before heading back inside to get the money.
The boys, now alone, can barely contain their joy. "Did you hear that?" one of them asks the other before shaking them, "We're going to be f*cking rich." They could be bursting with joy. "Oh boy.. oh boy," said one of them. "No wonder all these people are rich. They'll pay us for shoveling. They're like, 'I'm not shoveling. I got lots of money, who cares. I don't want to shovel. I'm rich!'"
One of the boys does a little dance before making detailed plans on how much money they can make and what to do with it. "A paper bag for all our money. We'll be counting it up... We're rich. We're finally rich," they tell each other as they dance. One of them goes, "You should see my bank account. I have like $6000 in there" and the other boy responds, "You should save up money until you're 16 and buy a car." Then, without an iota of sarcasm, continues, "oh.. I don't know... you need a buy a really short car though.. cause you're really short." The boy responds, "A Lamborghini is good for me. Lamborghinis are short."
The owner then comes out and hands them a $20 bill. "Thank you so much, we really appreciate it," they tell the homeowner before walking out. If anyone even remotely doubted they would make away with the money, they can be heard saying, "Awww duuuude! Okay, let's do a really good job cause they paid us first." People can't get enough of the innocence of the kids. "Man this vid bringing out the feels. I wish these young kings the best," wrote one person. "They've more ethics than some adults I know." Many said it would also be a character-building exercise. "I want my kids to grow up in an environment where they can go to throughout the neighborhood we live in and make their money doing little odd things like this. Builds character for a young child," commented another.
