So when a woman named Berenice received a custom-made Barbie that resembled her from her parents on her birthday, she was moved to tears, feeling truly seen. Berenice, who goes by @benulus on Instagram, shared the heartwarming moment on her platform.

"You know the saying, 'To be loved is to be seen,'" the text overlay on the video reads. "My parents told me they had a surprise. 'An early birthday present for your 28th,' they said." The woman closed her eyes before opening her gift. Based on feel, she could make out a hat but never imagined what she was about to see. "OMG! That looks exactly like you," someone said from the background. It was a Barbie that was dressed in a miniature version of an outfit the fashionista had previously put together. Her mom and dad had worked together to customize everything about the doll to resemble their beautiful daughter. "My mom never had a Barbie growing up. But that was never the case for her daughters," Berenice revealed.

"This is how it is looking. I am even making tights," the mom shared as she stitched the Barbie's clothes by herself. "It's looking pretty good." The mom sourced everything from a second-hand outlet or through Etsy. "She sewed all the sets from scratch. She hand-beaded every single detail. My little sister helped her do the exact same makeup," the text overlay revealed. The woman's dad helped with the boots and the jewelry, as the mom wanted every detail to match her daughter perfectly. When the woman eventually saw the doll and the effort that had gone into it, she started sobbing. "She's so beautiful," she said. "You have no idea how much I just healed with this Barbie." The video also featured a clip of the woman wearing the same outfit. Moved by her family's thoughtful gesture, she gave her mom a big hug.

"I started crying when she showed me that she had made it all with her own hands. I also want to think that she healed a part of her inner child through this," Berenice expressed. "I am a Barbie collector. Nothing will ever be more valuable than this." The caption of the video read, "Oh to be seen."
