Video of supportive husband caring for his wife as she holds their newborn is beyond adorable

Husbands are expected to be by their partner's side during pregnancy. Though they can't take on their partner's pain, they can be soothing pillars for them. A woman named Lindsey Schulz shared that she recently delivered her baby and her husband was beyond supportive. The woman had suffered from acute fatty liver and HELLP syndrome, a rare complication from pregnancy. The latter caused her health to deteriorate severely.

Though she gave birth to her baby girl, over her videos she revealed that her health wasn’t too stable. Owing to her condition, she got a chance to hold her baby only 5 days after birthing her. It was an overwhelming moment for her after all she had been through. Schulz’s husband made sure he was there for her and his gestures soothed her immensely. “First time holding my baby 5 days after birth after just coming off a ventilator,” Schulz mentioned. She was covered in protective gear on the hospital bed as the baby was gently placed into her arms. Her husband stood right beside her and gave her time to take her moment in.

Schulz's face revealed that it was an encounter of joy but also sadness due to the unforeseen complications. Despite the gravity of the situation, the man rubbed Shulz’s shoulders gently and started encouraging her. In an inaudible dialogue, he looked at her and his baby and kept talking her through it. With hopeful eyes, he didn’t leave his wife’s side and kept uplifting her spirit. Helping her and the baby to have their time as best as possible, the man stood right beside her. He did everything necessary for the mom who was too stunned to speak. Though upset, Schulz was able to sneak a smile after her husband kept speaking with her.

“My husband’s reaction will always be my favorite part of the video,” she wrote in the text overlay. Sharing more in the background, Schulz said, “He spent 5 days watching me fight for my life and praying we would make it to see this moment. To this day, he looks at me with this much gratitude. I feel so lucky that my daughter gets him as a father.” The family was undoubtedly going through a gut-wrenching period but the dad came through like no other. He became the support system for his wife and baby despite the heartbrokenness he felt.
