TV personality Brian Belo once appeared as a contestant in a famous game show, only to fumble at answering an easy question.
"The Weakest Link" was one of the most popular reality game shows on TV, which was also a guilty pleasure for many during primetime. It was hosted by TV presenter and journalist Anne Robinson and later on by actress Jane Lynch till its conclusion in 2020. In a post that evoked nostalgia, X user Ross McCulloch, also known as @Rossmac212, shared a clip from the gameshow, which went viral, garnering over 600,000 views so far and counting.
That particular episode also featured English entertainer and TV personality Brian Belo, who went on to win the "Celebrity Big Brother" reality show in 2007. Belo unwittingly ended up being the most hilarious contestant of the quick-fire question segment and made the studio audience as well as the internet, roll with laughter. Robinson went through the contestants, asking them basic questions like which organ in the human body pumps blood and what the acronym "HAND" stands for in text lingo.

While the other contestants got their answers right, Belo totally fumbled when Robinson asked, "In prisoner of war camps in World War II, what 'T' was the kind of underground passage frequently dug as a means of escape?" The audience erupted in laughter after a brief pause when Belo rushed to answer "herbal tea."
Much like the studio audience, X users who came across this video clip shared their hilarious remarks on Belo's response. @Rossmac212 added context and wrote, "Herbal Tea when the answer was Tunnels." @FacileTalk mentioned, "That was a panic mode answer. You hear a word, then give a 'word association' reply." @PabEmiEscoGavi commented, "This all with the celebrity edition. Easy question concession applied too." @jackcooper90 added, "As soon as you see his face, you know it's gonna be a good one, thick as mince."
For the uninitiated, "The Weakest Link" was a popular game show hosted by Robinson that ran for 16 consecutive seasons. Several participants would compete against one another and also as a team to find answers to general knowledge questions for a shot at winning the massive prize money. The show was also known for Robinson's scathing commentary on the players and their knowledge or the lack of it.
Despite his awkward moment on the gameshow, Belo gained success on "Celebrity Big Brother" and even rejoined it in 2015 before quitting the show in little more than a week, as per The Independent. But Belo was not the first or the last person, who gave audiences a memorable moment while appearing on a show.
In another instance, a woman got anything but joy when she turned on her TV to binge on a popular dating show. Ryann Stringfellow, who goes by @ryannstrngflw on TikTok, was left stunned when she found her boyfriend cheating on her by appearing on a dating show. "Imagine my surprise when I turned on a season of 'Love Is Blind' this morning and saw my boyfriend. Are you shocked? I sure as hell am," she exclaimed in her video. She further spoke about how she had heard and seen other women experience similar situations but never thought she'd find herself on the same boat. "I thought he was on a business trip," Stringfellow added. She assumed that he was working and couldn't answer her calls, but instead, he was out dating other women.
