Our pets bring immense joy to our lives and make us smile and laugh. Even videos on them are loved by people on the internet. In one such video, uploaded by @melroseanimalclinic on TikTok, we see vet technicians enact different breeds of dogs when their nails are being trimmed. It starts with huskies and they can be heard screaming as they get their nails trimmed and the vet technicians can barely get a hold of them. Then, the video progresses to golden retrievers who can be heard breathing heavily and trying to breathe down the neck of the person trimming their nails. Next in line is Pitbull, and it can be seen nudging its head.

Bichon is difficult to get hold of and pugs cannot stop breathing heavily and screaming their lungs out as they get their nails trimmed. Chihuahuas cannot stop barking and the vet technicians can barely hold them to trim their nails. Nail trimming can be a stressful experience for dogs, as per VCA Hospitals, " Adult dogs may be fearful of the clippers and the sound they make, especially if they had a previous bad experience (having the nail trimmed too short or 'quicked')." The video is being widely appreciated by people on TikTok and it has 156K likes and thousands of comments on it.

In another heartwarming story about a dog, a young woman, Bellah Hambleton shared on TikTok how devastating it would be for her to see her dog pass away if she couldn't afford the treatment. In the video clip posted on August 9, she sobbed as she posted a picture of her dog, Alexa (or Lex), and wrote, "If 6000 dollars doesn't fall from the sky in two days I have to put my best friend down. I don't know what to do." In the caption, she explained, "She has a ruptured disc in her lower spine and the only option is surgery which my family doesn't have the money for. I refuse to just let her go when surgery could save her. I hate being poor."

Others commented on the post in order to "boost" it to other viewers who might donate as well. Although TikTok has not confirmed this, it is widely assumed that the app's algorithm favors posts with a high number of interactions. Later that day, Hambleton announced the creation of a GoFundMe page for anyone interested in contributing to the $13,000 cost of Alexa's surgery and rehabilitation. Lex's GoFundMe page managed to raise $16,054 crossing the target amount of $15,000. "I truly am so grateful and appreciative of the pure kindness I've gotten from total strangers," @idislikeallofyou1 shared and added, "The internet and human compassion is a beautiful thing."
