Parents often experience a range of fears and anxieties, such as worrying about their baby's health, well-being, sleep patterns and feeding. They may also fear that they are not equipped to handle the responsibilities of parenthood and may feel the pressure of having to learn new skills to take care of their child. Kevin Bacon, the "Footloose" actor, recently revealed in an interview during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that he had accidentally locked his son, Travis, in a car and talked about the valet that totally proved to be a hero, per TODAY.

He described the horrifying experience that happened while shooting for the 1990s sci-fi movie "Tremors." He explained that he was staying at Chateau Marmont in L.A. with his wife Kyra Sedgwick. He added, "We had rented a car and I don’t know, I was scattered. I wasn’t really thinking. Pulled up to the valet at the hotel, jumped out of the car, slammed the door, car still running, keys in the car, windows up, baby still in the car." The "X-Men: First Class" actor continued, "And my little guy was, I think, 4 days old at the time. So to say I lost my s--t would be the understatement."

The valet at the hotel came to Bacon's aid and used the triangular window on the car door, which was a common feature in cars back then, to resolve the situation. He added, "This amazing, heroic dude, it took him literally 3 seconds. He wrapped a towel around his fist. Bam! Right through that window." Kimmel was impressed and said, "Wow! He punched through the window." Bacon replied, "Punched through it. Took it right out. I was like, 'Wow, that's some superhero stuff right there.' "

The valet smashed the car window, allowing Travis' parents to retrieve him within 5 seconds. Bacon doubted that he was the first person to make such a mistake and expressed his amazement at the valet's quick thinking. When asked about how he thanked the valet for his act of heroism, Bacon revealed that he revisited the Chateau Marmont years later and inquired whether the valet remembered saving his son. The actor said, "He said yeah, and, you know, we laughed about it and stuff...I would like to think I tipped him well."

The experience of accidentally locking a child in a car can be a terrifying one for any parent, and it serves as a reminder to always be vigilant and mindful when caring for a young child. Bacon's story also highlights the importance of quick thinking and the courage to act in emergency situations, as demonstrated by the heroic actions of the valet at the Chateau Marmont.

Kevin Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, got married in September 1988, and they have two children together. Their son Travis is now 33 years old and has followed in his parent's footsteps by becoming an actor, filmmaker and musician. Their daughter, Sosie Bacon, is also an actress and will turn 31 years old on March 15. Both Travis and Sosie have established themselves in the entertainment industry and have made their parents proud with their successful careers.
