Usain Bolt has become a household name through his unparalleled speed, charisma and record-breaking athletic performances in both track and field. His name will go down in history as one of the greatest runners that the world has seen. Bolt shared an interesting video on YouTube many years back, revealing his method for tackling the 100-meter race. Currently, the video has over 5 million views and 3,512 comments.

At the start of the video, we see Bolt standing at a running track and explaining how "good reaction" was a crucial component at the start of a race. The video also contains snippets of an actual race in which Bolt ran to demonstrate his points. He candidly shares how he did not start very well and how he always hoped to have a decent start to have a winning chance at the race. The first few moments of the race are what he calls his "drive phase," where he keeps his body forward, head down and keeps running as fast as he can.

He goes on to explain his next step during the race. "After I start coming out of my drive phase, that's when we get tall," Bolt states. We can witness his and the other runners' body language change as they all put their heads up and run with their knees reaching greater heights in the air. This was the moment when most runners would reach their top speeds. Once he reached 50 meters, which was half of the race, Bolt glanced sideways to see which position he was in the race.

The crowd's cheers also help him understand where he stands amongst his fellow competitors in the race. However, where Bolt stood apart from all others was at sixty meters. He describes himself as a "beast" once he reaches this point. "That's when I start to dominate a race," Bolt shares. He would be able to ascertain whether he would win or lose a race once he reached this point because the final 40 meters was where he was more confident.

Towards the final 10-15 meters, Bolt would check again to see where his opponents are to determine what kind of pace he should maintain. If he had a tremendous lead, most runners would not be able to catch up with him, no matter how hard they tried. Thanks to Bolt's height, it would only take him three and a half strides to cross the finish line towards the end, making it effortless for him. Upon reaching the finishing line, Bolt would strike his signature pose for the crowd to celebrate his win.

People found the video quite inspiring and put down their thoughts in the comments section. @MidWesti said, "I love it when he says, 'The last 10 meters, you aren't going to catch me. No matter what you do or who you are, you won't catch me.'" @christinacorner2788 commented, "The way he paced himself even with talking, and got everything he needed to say out by the time he hit the end of the 100 meters. That's how you know this man was meant for the track. It's dedication and love in him."
