Dallen Harrell, a UPS driver, was on his way to deliver a parcel when he thought leaving a sweet message for a new mom and her baby would be a great idea. And of course it was, as Jessica Kitchel (@jesskitchel on Instagram), the new mom, was gently reminded of how kindness can thrive in the most unexpected places. She posted the beautiful video on her page, recounting how special it made her feel.

Dallen had noticed an oversized stork lawn sign announcing the birth of his customer's son, Chancy, so the UPS driver decided to pause and leave a kind message for the family. Dallen first delivered the baby formula package at Jessica's residence, and he said, looking into the surveillance camera, "If this is the 'It's a Boy' house... I hope all is going well with your newborn. I had a child at around the same time you guys did, and I just hope everything is going good. God bless and happy holidays."Jessica, who had just delivered her son through C-section, saw the video and was overwhelmed by the stranger's kindness. "I was just so blown away by the fact... that he took the time to stop and do it, and more so that he was so observant that he remembered this was the 'It's a Boy' house with the stork," she told The Washington Post.

Jessica wanted to thank the UPS driver, so she posted his video on social media, and surprisingly, she heard back from a UPS representative informing her that the local police would uncover the driver's name. Soon enough, Jessica and Dallen got to talk over a call. The UPS driver said he just wanted to wish a family that was going through a similar phase as him. "I just went from my heart," said Dallen, who had recently welcomed his son, Deveraux, with his fiancée, Taqueria Robinson-Davidson.

Jessica wanted to return the kind gesture, so she prepared a care package with baby products for Dallen's boy and gave it to him when he returned to deliver another package. Ever since the heartfelt incident, Dallen said he had been getting multiple packages a day from strangers who were moved by his kind gesture. Moreover, he shared how he values compassion more than anything after his own experiences, like an open-heart surgery at 13, and his father's death 5 years later. "I'd give someone the shirt off my back, and the last change in my cup holder," he said.

Meanwhile, reacting to the wholesome story, @machellehilst commented, "That is an awesome UPS driver! Please, UPS, find him and give him a raise! He is a keeper! God bless him and his new family, too!" @pickel87s said, "GIVE THAT UPS DRIVER A RAISE! We need more people like this in the world and on our UPS routes." @mariaarawak55 said, "It makes my day to see good people. They seem so hard to find." @imgrubbs said, "I love this. I’m so touched that you took the time to seek him out; so many others would not have done that. God bless you!"

@merebear4321 wrote, "Absolutely love this! Just a few kind words can truly change a person's day. You never know behind closed doors what struggles a person may be going through. As a mom of 4, something that is sweet and simple truly means a lot! What an amazing young man, and I can only imagine what a wonderful father he is! Definitely need more people like this in the world and more attitudes like his in the work world. This was absolutely post-worthy! That is the face of an American man this country needs more of!" @apmorr1 said, "Jessica, this is a lovely story; thank you for sharing and for paying it forward. Your acknowledgment of Dallen’s act of kindness is a perfect example of how kindness can spread like ripples on a pond. God Bless!"
