An uncle goes the extra mile to help his little niece put together a rap song in the wholesome video.
The bond between uncles and nieces often blossoms into a close and cherished relationship. Unlike the parental role, uncles have the freedom to become mentors, confidants and friends to their nephews and nieces. Benjamin Maxwell—who goes by u/bnzzomusic on Reddit—shared a heartwarming post, where he taught his little niece how to make a rap song. The video has garnered over 1K upvotes and 104 comments on the site so far. In the video, we can see the uncle and niece sitting at the dining table, ready to begin their adorable musical journey. He inquires what the girl would name her first single album, to which she innocently replies, "I don't know. I've never done rapping before."
Maxwell then asks her if she has a rap name for herself, which the girl reveals to be "Lil Daisy." He proceeds to ask her about her rap career so far, which elicits a cute smile from her. She hilariously shares that she has not had any big hit songs. So, the uncle decides to help her and wants to know what she wants to rap about. She expresses that she wants to write a song about "the ocean," to which he readily agrees and the duo begins working on his laptop.
After browsing for a while, the uncle tells her, "Now, you get to pick a song." He plays a funky tune for her, which she likes, but she tells him they could return to it later. They explore a few more songs and the girl gets some ice cream from her mother between their musical process. The uncle finally settles on a beat for her and pushes a notepad toward her, asking her to write the lyrics for the song. The little girl funnily begins tapping her pen against the notepad, wondering what words she could use for a song about the ocean.
She sings, "Me and Lil Daisy, we be crazy." The uncle is very impressed with this line and slams the table in excitement for the song they are about to create. He explains to his niece how the way she said the words during the song was termed "the flow." The clip continues and we see them enthusiastically working on their song. She continues to ask him doubts about the song's lyrics, which he clears up. Soon enough, they are done with the lyrics and flow to sing the song.
The uncle patiently teaches her the correct way to start and when to speed up and slow down during the song. He gives her a few mouth exercises to help her sing the song. With this last tip from her uncle, the girl finally raps her heart out towards the end of the clip, perfectly synchronizing with the music. The uncle is hyped once she has finished and gives her a high-five to celebrate their achievement. The wholesome clip concludes with him asking her how she liked the ice cream.
People loved their energy and shared their thoughts in the comment section. u/nuudootabootit expressed, "It's hilarious that a 4-year-old girl with zero experience legit sounds on par with most of the modern mumble rappers." u/EngineerEven9299 commented, "She nailed it! Cool to see how much someone can do with the right coaching and guidance." Another individual, u/pureply101, wholesomely suggested, "Sign her rap deal today. I have heard enough."
