Music has the power to bring people together. Something similar happened when a man was playing piano at a cafe and two opera singers started to sing along. Emil Reinert—who goes by @emiliopiano on TikTok—posted a video where he can be seen sitting down to play a piano at a cafe. "This is what happens when you play Italian music in a cafe," the pianist said at the beginning of the video, using a voiceover. Meanwhile, customers in the cafe were looking at the pianist as he played the song, "Libiamo ne' lieti calici, Opera: La Traviata," a duet by Giuseppe Verdi.

Not later, the camera panned to a man sitting at the cafe and the voiceover said, "Look at what this guy will do." However, the people at the cafe were delighted by the instrumental that was being played at that moment. The overlay text read, "No one can expect this will happen." As the pianist continued to play, the man began to sing along with the music in his high-pitched voice. "This guy is a singer!" read the overlay text. The pianist also exclaimed that he was so happy listening to him sing. The whole cafe went silent as they were soaking it all in. "He must be an opera singer," read the text in the video.

Reinert was about to end the music, but that's when the man invited his friend to sing. Everyone began to clap, thinking the song had ended, and then the woman started to sing opera. "She also sings so well!" the pianist wrote in the video text. People sitting in the cafe seem to be enjoying her performance as well. Then the man who was earlier singing joined in. Their voices were just perfect and the music made the duet magical. The caption read, "Music connects people." By this time, the cafe seemed like a concert hall, with everyone recording the performance and enjoying every bit of it. The two end the song on a high note, with everyone clapping and cheering for them.

People on social media loved the extraordinary performance. The video garnered over 118 million views and it is captioned, "I met two singers in a cafe!" @fazleemonty commented, "Thousand of dollars worth of opera just went free in a cafe." @emmalouise188 wrote, "What a special moment. Opera isn't my vibe, but this is incredible." @imalyssafaith expressed, "Imagine trying to do a Zoom meeting and they're doing a full phantom of the opera moment in the background."

@experiment_555 said, "As an opera singer, I would absolutely do this mid-cafe if I heard someone start playing a song from my repertoire." @stumpedbagel requested, "Public plea for all talented artists out there: bless us with your craft, whenever and wherever. Humanity thanks you for it." @meg198335 added, "I wish I could sing opera just so I could break out in spontaneous singing in random cafes. Love this." It is what good music does to people. It brings them together and creates a beautiful aura around them.
