Post-presidential life may not have Trump jumping with joy but the former first lady Melania sure looks happy to be done with her official duties. The 50-year-old whose apparent dislike for PDA made several headlines about the state of the couple's relationship over the past four years, kicked off speculations once again with her "I'm so over it" demeanour during her husband's final hours as president. In a now-viral video, Melania is seen striding away from her spouse as soon as they deboarded the Air Force One in Palm Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, instead of pausing to wave at the cameras with Trump during their final photo op.

According to Metro, while Trump — who was in the final hour of his term in office — stopped for the cameras after landing in Florida, Melania purposefully walked straight past the media. The former first lady's hurry to get out of the public's gaze wasn't lost on anyone as many Twitter users were left with the impression that the mother-of-one is done playing nice for the cameras. Dressed in a bright orange, navy, and cream Gucci kaftan, Melania could be seen giving an apparent grimace as reporters began shouting questions and made a beeline for a waiting car.

"That dress and the quick change of costume on the flight said everything. Wondering when the divorce will be announced," tweeted Hallie Rubenhold, echoing the thoughts of many others. "This brief video clip sums up the entire presidency perfectly. Ineptitude from Trump, and utter apathy from Melanoma," wrote Twitter user Bryan. "That’s the strut of a woman who has fulfilled the terms of her contract," tweeted @LaDuchesseEbs while Twitter user Brad Norris stated: "Even Shakespeare could not have written this ending better." "Gotta think a divorce is in the near future. She can't stand him. Don't believe me? Look at the way she looks at him vs Trudeau," wrote @no_1_you_kno.

This much-talked-about exit was the final time Melania was seen in public as First Lady of the United States as the Trumps' time in office officially ended at midday EST on Wednesday when Joe Biden was sworn in as 46th President of the United States. The former first lady's change of outfit upon landing in Florida also had many speculating that it reflected her excitement at beginning their post-presidency life at the Trumps' Mar-a-Lago country club in West Palm Beach with 14-year-old son Barron.

What this new chapter will bring for Melania and Trump's relationship is also a matter of much interest as, over the years, there have been countless reports about their allegedly strained marriage. According to Daily Mail, Melania's former aide Stephanie Wolkoff last year claimed that the Trumps had separate bedrooms in the White House and that they were living "a transactional marriage." Fellow ex-aide Omarosa Manigault Newman supported this claim that the couple's 15-year marriage was over, adding: "Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce."

"If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he's in office, he would find a way to punish her," Newman reportedly said. While only time will tell what’s next for Melania and Donald in Florida, in his final speech as President, Trump vowed that he will "return" in some form or the other. "Have a good life," he told a crowd of a few hundred supporters, after a 21-gun salute, before vowing that "we will be back — in some form." Meanwhile, he has to face an impeachment trial at the US Senate for allegedly inciting the January 6 US Capitol riots in Washington DC, which could see him banned from running for office again.
