A father’s love is often silent but not invisible to those who wish to see it.

A mother's love is believed to be the most sacred and special in the world. She cooks and cleans, drops the kids at school, gets up early to prepare for the day ahead, earns for them, fixes their favorite toys, amends their broken hearts as adults, and so much more that comes in between. However, amid this appreciation, we often forget to praise our fathers and their efforts towards raising us. Similarly, u/Shot_Course_2213 shared a heartfelt confession on Reddit, making people appreciate their fathers even more.

Fathers are often inexpressive due to the social stigma attached to a man's emotional behavior. Therefore, they sometimes ruin their relationship with their partner or even their children. However, the son and his twin escaped the matrix and read between the lines. They understood that their father's love resided in the smallest of gestures that he made. "My dad isn't the most outwardly affectionate person. He can be blunt at times and, unlike my mom, isn't very vocal about his love. However, I think his love language is researching/remembering things we're interested in!" the son shared.

He mentioned how his father was not the most expressive, but he surely knew how to let them know he loved them by making small efforts. He further shared an incident, “My twin and I are into Pokémon, and when my twin told me to guess how many shinnies they had. My dad, who overheard, immediately answered 127, which was the exact number! I was confused, and so was my twin, but my dad said he remembered being told it a few weeks ago!!” But that was not the end of it.

“More recently, he drove me and my twin 30 minutes to view a movie we'd been looking forward to! When we got back, we were talking about it in the car,” the son added. “Later, my twin saw our dad on the Wiki, literally researching the movie and its lore! By choice! I just thought it was so heartwarming that he was doing that to understand our interests, and it means so much to me, as small and insignificant as it may seem. I love my dad so much,” the son concluded his post.

That is not it. According to a study, similar to the mother's love, the love from the father contributes as much and sometimes more to a kid's development, as reported by ScienceDaily. Moreover, while reading the heartwarming Reddit confession, many people commented positively. They appreciated the twins’ ability to decode their father’s love language. Many even advised them to confess the same to their father. u/Electrical_Wrap_4572 commented, “Dads are the best.” u/Noaconstrictr wrote, “Tell your dad what you appreciate about him!”

u/dystopiannonfiction expressed, “You should definitely tell your dad that you noticed the extra effort he is making to research and educate himself on the things his children are interested in. I promise it will make him the happiest dad on Earth to feel so seen and appreciated by his children! Good parents really don't get enough validation and words of affirmation. The whole world hears about it when they screw up, but hardly anyone ever tells dad when he's kicking butt at 'Dad-ding.'”
