The woman who was traveling to Mexico decided to follow the girl code and inform a lady about how her partner was being flirty behind her back.
Every time we board a flight or take any form of public transport, there is a chance we might stumble upon at least one person who gives off negative vibes. It could be a creep or someone trying to be flirty even though they are accompanied by their partners. Something similar happened with Spencer Barbosa, who goes by @spencer.barbosa on TikTok. She found herself in a very odd situation while taking a flight to Mexico with her friend. There was a man seated behind her, constantly trying to make eye contact with Barbosa.
Recounting the odd experience in a video, Barbosa mentioned how the situation got weirder once the woman accompanying the man went to the restroom. "This is the story of a random man who thought he could be a cheater and thought that I wouldn't tell his girlfriend about him," she says in the clip. "Okay, so a few months ago, I was going to Mexico with my friend and we were at the airport. On the plane, the man behind us was staring at me a little bit, but I honestly thought it was just because I was making TikToks in public and like, there is a valid reason to stare." Barbosa noticed how the man was with a woman and child.
Halfway through the flight, the woman accompanying the man got up to use the restroom and the man used this opportunity to tap on Barbosa's shoulder. "He shows me his phone with a text in it. He is giving me these weird eyes and I am reading the note and it says something along the lines of 'Please do not say anything out loud, but I think you are really pretty,'" Barbosa recalled. He also informed her through his message that he was interested in talking to her but she quickly and firmly shut that down. She was stunned at how the man was flirting with her while his child sat right beside him. The man was persistent and asked whether Barbosa had read the note and she confirmed she had read it. Barbosa decided to brush him off but she had an idea in mind when the man's girlfriend came back from the restroom.
"The girl comes back from the bathroom and the guy acts like he's never talked to me, didn't say anything to me. So, I'm now sitting there and I'm adding the pieces together. Like he waited until the girl was gone. He typed it on his phone and asked me not to say anything out loud. He's a rodent," Barbosa continued while putting on her makeup. She realized she needed to tell the girl about this situation when they got off the flight. "We're waiting for our luggage and he's trying to act like he is boyfriend of the year and being so attentive to her. But I know what you're doing. He goes to grab the luggage and she's finally free by herself. So I walk over there," she mentioned.
Barbosa asked the girl whether the man was her boyfriend and then told her what happened on the flight while she was in the restroom. "She turns to me and is like, so do you want me to cuss him out before you leave or after you leave? I was like after I leave. I don't know exactly what happened. She waited for me to be gone to talk to him about it. But I am just hoping she is thriving now," Barbosa concluded. The comment section applauded her for doing the right thing by informing the other woman about the man's behavior.
@mbermatzganis joked, "The better question is how did she not know that our queen Spencer Barbosa was in her presence." @pippa_1234 recalled, "Once I was talking to my best friend's ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend and then she started talking about how obsessed my best friend was with her ex-boyfriend and I didn't know what to do so I just told my friend." @calliehjohnsonnn wrote, "That's actually so disappointing. I feel so bad for her. Good thing you told her." @.strxnger._.thingsss commented, "I will ALWAYS tell the girl. She deserves to know - it's girl code."
