The woman had to take the bold step after she tried talking to the neighbor

With noisy music, intoxicated guests, and blocked driveways, neighborhood parties can sometimes be a nuisance. Not only do they disrupt peace of mind, but they also violate parking spaces. A truck tow driver (u/carbonlandrover) experienced a hell of a night one day when the lady in her neighborhood hosted a party. The drunken teenagers attending the party weren’t only disrespectful but had also blocked her driveway. In a Reddit post, she described how she took the entitled neighbor off her high horse and got the vehicles seized by the police for good.
Posted on October 1, 2016, she wrote about how she was home at 12:30 AM when she received a call from her boss asking her to show up to work. She, being on call for Virginia State Police towing rotation, was aware of the neighborhood party. In fact, the author had already made it clear to her neighbor that as long as her guests didn’t block her driveway or the dirt road, she would have no complaints. However, when the author stepped outside the house, she realized that her driveway was blocked by not one or two, but fifteen cars.

The woman hiked to her neighbor's house and asked her to get the cars removed. The lady shouted at the teenagers to remove their cars. The teenagers, drunk like fish, yelled disrespectful slang and swear words at the tow-truck driver, shoved her away, and shut the door. Meanwhile, a macho man splashed beer on her face and screamed at her. Unfettered, the woman called her buddies in the Virginia State Police, and ten trucks instantly showed up at her doorstep to pick up the vehicles as part of “private property impounds.” She also called police dispatch in case the inebriated teenagers tried to interfere or pester her or her crew.

One by one, the drivers extracted the cars from her driveway and deposited them in the impound yard. When the last three cars were remaining, an individual jumped into his yellow Civic and drove off. A girl in a gold Silverado was arrested for underage drinking. As a wink of luck, the following day was a holiday, and if the teenagers' parents wanted their cars back, they would have had to pay $289.50 plus two days of storage at $55 a day and a $100 gate fee. When the parents found out, they started rebelling against the woman for illegal towing. That’s when she showed the photos of their teens’ cars parked in an area that featured “No Parking” signs. She also blurted out that she tried talking to the host, but her words fell on deaf ears, so she had to take a bold step.
Such chaos because of late-night parties isn't rare. According to a survey by Lemonade, 1 in 2 Americans is annoyed by their neighbour multiple times a year. In fact, 9% of the surveyed individuals reported “noisy parties” as the reason why they don’t like their neighbors. Similarly, according to a 2020 survey by the National Association of Realtors, cited by Parksy, approximately 10% of the homeowners report having parking-related conflicts with their neighbors due to shared driveways.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Reddit post, u/adifferenttimezone commented, “I wonder what kind of revenge they're going to take on you and your property. Better get a mean dog and some barbed wire.” u/thirdGEARchirp said, “I have to say I like this one. The look on their faces, both teenagers and parents, must have been priceless. Lol.”
