Sometimes, strangers on the streets can leave a lasting impression with their kind gestures. These small acts have the power to uplift spirits and restore our faith in humanity in a world often filled with unrest. One such stranger did just that for an elderly man searching for someone to take a photo with his wife. In a short, wholesome video shared by @gusculpo, the old man is seen looking for someone to snap a picture in a crowded spot in Paris.
"This gentleman was looking for someone to take a photo. He and his wife were crossing Paris off their bucket list, and I think it may be the most adorable thing I've ever seen," the text overlay read. Many took to the comment section to appreciate the creator's kind gesture. "The way I would’ve literally followed them around Paris being their personal photographer," commented @Alyssa. "I'm too soft for old people. I would be watching over them the entire time," added @ainabanana.
@user7354258676420 shared how they make an effort to click old people's pictures. "When I travel, I always have my Polaroid camera with me. I make it a mission to ask random old people if I could take a picture of them and for them as a way for me to step out of my comfort zone!" @ValerieVillalongo added, "No I’m just thinking bout all them people who ignored him, he just wanted a photo."
Some strangers really are angels in disguise. In another such story, a mother wrote a heartwarming message to a stranger who helped her and her baby, Lucy, on a flight from Orlando to Philadelphia. Kelsey Zwick, traveling with her 11-month-old daughter, was brought to tears when a stranger generously gave up his first-class seat, allowing them more room. The grateful mom later took to Facebook to thank the man who offered to exchange seats with them.
"To the man in 2D. Today you were traveling from Orlando to Philly. I don’t know you, but I imagine you saw us somewhere. I was pushing a stroller, had a diaper bag on my arm, and also lugging an oxygen machine for my daughter," the grateful woman wrote. "We had smiles on our faces as we were headed to see her 'friends' at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). We pre-boarded the plane, got cozy in our window seats, and made jokes to those around us about having to sit by my yelling-but-happy baby. The flight attendant came over and told me you were waiting to switch seats," she added. "You were giving up your comfortable, first-class seat to us. Not able to hold back tears, I cried my way up the aisle while my daughter Lucy laughed! She felt it in her bones too... real, pure, goodness. I smiled and thanked you as we switched but didn’t get to thank you properly."
Many took to the comment section to appreciate the man's gesture. "So loving and this post made me cry. There are so many wonderful and caring people out there. I thank that man along with you," wrote @StephanieBronsteinFinn. "Omg how amazing," added @MelissaJaeger
