"Mission Impossible" star Tom Cruise once appeared for an interview with George Stroumboulopoulos, a TV host, and that meeting literally saved his life. While it may sound dramatic, Stroumboulopoulos himself confessed that his interaction with Mr. Cruise is the reason he is alive today. The Canadian media personality had suffered a severe motorbike accident not long before the interview, but he hadn't realized the seriousness of the health crisis until he met the "Top Gun" actor. Stroumboulopoulos recalled the incident during a candid conversation with Click And Tell (@clickandtellshow).

The discussion came into light when the host handed Stroumboulopoulos a picture of his 'The Hour' interview with Cruise from 2008. "I am convinced that the way this interview went is one of the reasons I am still alive," he confessed. Cruise had appeared on the show "The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos" to discuss his then-new movie, "Valkyrie." Not too long before their scheduled interview, Stroumboulopoulos met with a motorbike crash, resulting in severe injuries. He suffered a broken collarbone, with post-concussion syndrome, and basically, he was in terrible pain.

Just before the interview, Tom called Stroumboulopoulos and asked her to show him his injuries. The actor, perhaps, realized the intensity of the wounds, and so he immediately stepped in to help the popular TV personality. "He said, 'We've to keep you alive. So, I am going to connect you to somebody,'" Stroumboulopoulos recalled. Soon enough, he received a note with a phone number from Tom, asking him to call the guy who would teach him to race a motorbike safely. The man never wanted to learn to race because he was scared that he would hurt himself, but Tom insisted that he learns to ride a racing motorbike so he could eventually become a safe driver on the streets. Tom is one hell of a great actor, but what many may not know is how kind he is as a person. Andra Day, an actress and singer-songwriter, stands as a testimony to Tom's generosity. She said it's surprising how the actor is so sensitive and equally considerate of everyone in the room. "I'm like, wow, you know what? It's just a reminder. You can be a genius and be a kind human being at the same time, you know what I mean?" Day told PEOPLE.

Meanwhile, reacting to Stroumboulopoulos' heartwarming story, @grossi.rob commented, "It is absolutely a banger story! My respect to Tom for caring for our boy." Similarly,  @charandellasmom wrote, "I am not a Cruise fan at all, but this did give him a little respect in my eyes." @reeldebaterspod commented, "When Tom wants to heal you, you let Cruise control and take over." @lisaburns9595 chimed in, saying, "I love Tom Cruise, and he has more kindness and caring (nature) in him than anyone gives him credit for.  He is a fantastic actor as well." Quite overwhelmed by Tom's gesture, @brihurley16 confessed, "These excerpts that I’ve been seeing of this conversation with Strombo seem so fascinating! I need to go listen to the whole episode."
