Toddler saw her pregnant mom having contractions so she hilariously started mimicking her

Children are one of the most unique creations on earth. They can turn around any situation in seconds with their joyful presence. In this video uploaded by Gareth Oliver–who goes by @garetholiverofficial on TikTok– his sweet daughter is helping her mum with contractions by joining the party. Her mother is going to bring into the world a sibling and the toddler wants to be "as involved in the process" as possible. She does not have all the knowledge about how the birth process comes to be, but her intent is adorable. The toddler's sweet gesture won hearts, making the video viral in no time.

The text overlay gives context regarding the situation. It read, "I took this literally 3 hours before my wife gave birth. My 2-year-old was having contractions too!" Not all parents follow the same approach when it comes to preparing their children for the arrival of a sibling. But the common objective is to create a positive environment where the siblings can thrive. Sometimes, it is by making children part of the process as well. Certain parents inform children about every step rather than dump it all on them at once. It prepares them for the changes that will come into their routine. Here also, it seems that the parents have kept their 2-year-old in the loop about what is going to happen.

But children are known for their unique perception and understanding. Their imagination runs faster than any horse, which is pretty evident here. The girl might have been told that her mother would be going through pain due to contractions and taking deep breaths would help in its management. She somehow put it together in her head that her deep breaths would also be useful in this scenario. Therefore, when she found her mother using the particular breathing patterns, she also started to do the same. Though it might not have helped with the pain, it definitely eased up the surroundings. Her mother had an instant smile on her face, while her father couldn't help but laugh.

All the while, she is side-eying him from the seat. Jette just can't digest that her father is sitting with anyone else except his family. Her adorable tantrum was loved by millions and the video went viral in no time.
