People simply cannot get over the hilarious and spot-on song a toddler made to mock his mother.
Toddlers can be challenging to deal with and many parents would agree that it is one of the toughest stages of parenting. Getting toddlers to learn new behaviors and ideas is often chaotic and parents have to come up with their own tricks to get their kids to do the same. However, toddlers don't fall behind and have their tricks waiting to jump out of the box. Brooke Hobbs–who goes by @brooke_hobbs247 on TikTok–shared a video that has people rolling on the floor with laughter at her toddler son, who created a sassy and catchy song to mock her.
The accuracy and adorable stance of the song has people mesmerized and chuckling. “When your rebel toddler mocks you in song, but it’s an absolute banger,” the text overlay read. The mom then captured her son beside the keyboard with a mic, having a concert of his own. He was in his element, enjoying the song he just created and his mom couldn’t help but share the same with the people. Singing in his own tune and brilliant lyrics, the boy crooned, “Do what I say, do what I say, excuse me.” He made the lines a refrain and repeated the same around three times with unique variations, making it a catchy tune.
The boy was mocking his mom with the lyrics of the song which were presumably what she said to get him to listen. One can only imagine the situations where she may have been yelling, trying to get her toddler to listen with the same lines repeatedly and to think that he managed to turn it into a song was simply genius. The mom herself was baffled. In her caption, she wrote, “Boone’s debut hit- ‘Do what I say, do what I say, excuse me'.” With over a million views, people were just too awestruck with the adorable yet mischievousness the boy displayed in his creativity.
@montywolfe said, “This is high-level processing. This is how rebellious art is born. I’m seriously impressed.” @thisisthevizin said, “I had to scroll back to say this is stuck in my head. ‘Do what I say, do what I say, excuse me. (chipmunk giggles).” Fellow parents, on the other hand, knew just how it works with toddler kids. Many commented, sharing their experiences and opinions from what they have learned. @youloveeeb said, “Please have him record a song and play it in the car so you guys can listen to it because I won’t lie, this has got some ring to it.”
@the_inked_brunette39 remarked, “Oh, mama, I hope your coffee is always strong.” Many people even applauded the boy’s natural talent and ear for music. @frealgrll said, “His sense of rhythm is actually pretty advanced for his age. If he’s not in any music classes, he would take to them very naturally.” @ashlynnmarie exclaimed, “As a mom who makes a song out of anything, I fear this is my future.” @jessicaistrying hilariously suggested, “You need to sing this back to him all the time. It will become a great memory.”
