They say parents must identify their kids' passions so they can encourage and help them move forward in life. However, we must realize that kids show a preference for a particular creative expression as early as 1 to 3 years of age. In fact, babies can react to musical stimuli even before they are born. Yes, that's right, and we have scientific proof. Studies indicate that infants can hear and react to music from as early as 25 weeks of gestation (i.e., about 6 months into pregnancy) by moving in response. Supporting the findings, a video of a toddler channeling his inner pop star went viral on TikTok with over 99 million views online. The reel, shared by the Villabridges Family (@villabridgesfam), is basically a full-on concert experience, except it'll leave you guessing the lyrics.
In the clip, the little boy, wearing a yellow T-shirt and black pants, could be seen holding a mic and singing (literally blabbering), "Yeah… oh oh oh." As the toddler began his impromptu performance, a man in the background started playing his guitar, trying to match his tune. Occasionally, the kid stopped in between to let his guitarist take the lead, just like performers do during live music. There were no lyrics to the toddler's song, but his passion spoke volumes about his inclination towards music. The toddler doesn't just enjoy singing. Well, he's a true performer who knows how to captivate his audience with his super-cute dance steps in between his performances. In another video, shared in July 2023, the kid could be seen putting on a concert again, enriched by the compelling drum beats.
Whether the child takes up music in the future or not, his performance would always remain iconic, at least for people who loved his enthusiasm and hope to buy his album. Meanwhile, the hilarious video received an overwhelming response, with people applauding the little rockstar and his mind-boggling performance; for instance, @sissycoww commented, "I really felt the 'AaaOWAAaaa...'" @daniellaespi joked, "You can hear the pain in their voice." A user who goes by @alien.superstar_ said, "I fell to my knees at the AaAaaAAAAHH part. I don't know, but it spoke to me." @bridgetandrews406 assumed, "Why do I feel like he will grow up to have a great voice?" Another user commented, "They just don't make real music like this anymore!" @d1etdrpepprluvr wrote, "Why is he matching the pitch perfectly though?" @matchademolisher wrote, "I'd buy his album. I’m being so serious."
Kids are surprisingly talented, and letting them realize their true 'calling' is something all parents should encourage — irrespective of how they feel about their child's choice.
