American Marijuana is offering a $36,000 yearly salary for weed connoisseurs who can write reviews and make videos about all things green.
If you've ever felt awkward about smoking on the job, here's one that will pay you for it. It may sound unbelievable, but a marijuana company is looking for people to test out weed products in return for quite the hefty paycheck. American Marijuana, one of the most trusted resources online for information about medical marijuana, is looking for equally trustworthy product reviewers who know their stuff, if you know what we mean. In a job listing posted to their website, they've put out a job description for a "cannabis product reviewer" - and the perks are just as amazing as you'd expect them to be.
Now, now, don't get ahead of yourself. As American Marijuana clarifies, this job isn't just about sitting at home and smoking up all day. It's also about technical skills. So you wouldn't just be a weed smoker, you'd be a weed, essentially.
Every month, the company will deliver a wide variety of cannabis products to your doorstep (as long as you live in a state in the United States or Canada where medical marijuana is legal). You'll then have to review these products with honesty, a sense of accuracy, reliability, flair, and a keen eye for detail in the form of a blog. You'll also be expected to film unboxing or explainer videos "of how each cannabis product performs and differs from other, more notable products in the category," so you'll have to be charismatic and comfortable in front of a camera as well.
In addition to living in a region where medical marijuana is legal, you will have to be physically fit and healthy. However, most importantly, you've got to have extensive knowledge about marijuana overall. That means it might be time to hit the books, folks (or at least the Wikipedia page for a quick crash course). In return for your work, you can expect to be paid up to $3,000 a month (that's $36,000 a year) in salary and receive free cannabis products, including everything from weed strains, vapes, and edibles, to CBD oils.
As American Marijuana states themselves, "This may not be for everybody but I bet you’re interested in this type of work. I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to get paid by doing what you love?" If you're interested in applying for basically the coolest job in the world and let out your inner Snoop Dogg (or Martha Stewart, you do you!), then all you need to do is apply through the marijuana company's website here. You'll have to attach a bio or resume, a headshot or a link to a 60-second intro video about your passion for green, links to your social media accounts, and at least six street names, slang terms, or nicknames of marijuana. Just make sure to read through the extensive terms and conditions first. Now go on, get rolling.
