Every bride hopes to have a picture-perfect wedding. After all, that's why they spend so much time and money making sure all the details are just right. However, on the big day, some things may not go to plan. That's exactly what happened when this groom decided to break protocol and change things around by confessing to his bride after they had said their vows to each other, that he loved someone else. Turning to a special guest present at the wedding, he made the moment a memorable one for everyone there.

When the beautiful couple, Jefferson and Jessica, exchanged vows, he knew he couldn't lie to his doting new wife any longer. He had to let her know there was someone he loved just as much—if not more than—her. This is when Jessica began crying uncontrollably. As everyone was left puzzled wondering about what was going on, he turned to Giovanna, Jessica's daughter. In a moving speech, he affirmed to the 8-year-old that he would not only be sharing his life with Jessica but with his new daughter Giovanna, too.

He vowed to love, protect and care for her just as he had vowed to Jessica. That's when both of them turned toward Jessica as he read all the things he promised to do as Giovanna's new father. Jefferson told the little girl, "If I could ask God anything, it would be to have you as my daughter. I would be the proudest father in the world to have such a beautiful, intelligent, and educated daughter like you." This brought a smile to Giovanna's face, and she, along with all the guests present, couldn't hold back their tears any longer. He added, "I also give you love, my love, to take care of you, to always protect you, and to not let anything bad happen to you."

It's not always easy to accept a new man into your life and expect him to fulfill a paternal role. Everyone involved needs to be open, understanding and full of love to hand over to sustain a new family. So when the cute little 8-year-old picked up the mic from Jefferson and thanked him, accepting him as her new father and promising to love him, it was a moment that everyone present at the wedding would treasure forever.
